CONTENT CREATION SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION
We're a digital marketing agency. But, as Rebels, we're daring and different. We like to escape the mundane and never fall into being play-it-safers or creatures to commonplace. So, we're looking for someone like us - a Copywriter. As a writer with us, you ideally have a bit of agency experience - not so much you've stopped exploring, challenging yourself, and being a rebel, but not so little that you get lost here in the agency world. We'll look to you to collaborate with clients and internal teams, generating ideas and bringing them to life through words (written and spoken), then presenting confidently and expressing your creative ideas to all. You'd join a team of creatives and strategists who create content and campaigns across channels and platforms, across clients large and small and everywhere in between. And, while writing is generally a heads-down, solo experience, we'd look to you to come heads-up to collab, inspire, explore, and express ideas, campaigns, content, ads, posts, articles, and everything the agency world has to offer. As a resident creative wordsmith, you'll be expected to follow directions at times and inspire new directions in others based on your unique storytelling and ideas. As in any form of writing, being detail-oriented is a must (AP family over here!). Communicating effectively comes with the career, as does being empathetic does. Being imaginatively rebellious is specific to a career here. What You'll Do In collaboration with the Rebel Creative Team, you'll assist in creating valuable, original, relatable, timely, insightful, and memorable pieces of owned content in the following formats (but never limited to): Campaign concepts and stunts, brand narratives and articulations, social media posts, strategic messaging playbooks and frameworks, emails, texts, radio/video/podcast scripts, direct response ads, advertising placements (e.g. display banners, text ads, social media ads, posters, etc.) Actively participate in the content marketing strategy and planning process Help develop target audience background information/messaging pillars in line with deliverable and go-to-market strategies Contribute content ideas based on target audience insights Actively contribute to content calendar development Collaborate across all Rebel teams to deliver against effective content marketing strategies, delivering fresh content that meets the client's business objectives and is on brief Editorial requirements include basic search engine optimization (SEO) understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement Social media community monitoring responses Creating content within editorial governance guidelines (either internal or client-based) so that content is consistent with our brand and our clients' brand voice, style, and tone Editorial calendar and organizational workflow management/utilization in relation to content creation Channel management of digital content hubs, including: website, blogs, social media channels, direct message campaigns, and customer reviews Understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why Optimize content ongoing based on performance reporting, insight gathering, and other optimization recommendations.
