You'll be behind the camera and behind the keyboard, capturing the moments that make our properties special and turning them into a steady, scroll-stopping presence across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. You'll be creating and managing content for two of the area's premier wedding and event venues (Rancho de las Palmas in Moorpark and Hummingbird Ranch in Simi Valley) and Homelife Senior Living, a warm assisted living community in Thousand Oaks. Three brands, three audiences, one creative voice driving them all. This is a contract role to start , with the opportunity to convert to a full-time position as the scope grows. What You'll Do Content Creation Capture high-quality photo and video content on-site at all three properties (weddings, events, tours, senior living activities, behind-the-scenes, vendor highlights, property features) Edit and produce finished content optimized for each platform (TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories, Facebook, etc.) Maintain an organized content library across all three brands Social Media Management Plan and execute content calendars for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook across all three accounts Schedule and publish posts consistently across platforms Write captions in each brand's voice (romantic and warm for the venues, heartfelt and family-focused for Homelife) Share Stories regularly to keep accounts active between major posts Monitor comments and DMs, flagging anything that needs a human response from the team Track basic performance and report on what's working Strategy & Collaboration Work closely with our marketing team to bring campaign and ad concepts to life Stay current with trends, sounds, and formats relevant to weddings, lifestyle, and senior living content Travel between properties in Ventura County as the week's activities require What We're Looking For Strong portfolio of photo and video work, ideally including events, lifestyle, hospitality, or social-first content Demonstrated experience managing brand social accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) Skilled across the full production cycle: shooting, lighting, editing, finishing, and publishing Own gear required. Camera (DSLR or mirrorless), lenses, audio, lighting as needed, and a fully equipped editing setup Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalents) Comfortable with scheduling tools (Later, Planoly, Meta Business Suite, or similar) An eye for storytelling and the instinct to capture moments as they unfold A clear voice in writing and vision Based in Ventura County or able to travel reliably between
Moorpark, Simi Valley, and Thousand Oaks Bonus:
experience with weddings, events, or hospitality content Structure & Schedule This is a 1099 contract position with the opportunity to convert to full-time as the work proves out. We're flexible on structure: hourly, day rate, or monthly retainer, depending on what fits both sides. Schedule will vary based on event calendars and activities across the three properties. Some weekend availability is necessary as that is when the weddings are held. Location On-site at our three Ventura County properties: Rancho de las Palmas (Moorpark), Hummingbird Ranch (Simi Valley), and Homelife Senior Living (Thousand Oaks).
