  • $50 /hr Posted April 29, 2026 Our healthcare client is seeking a Social Media Creator and Designer.
This is a part-time, freelance position that is REMOTE but will need to be located in the Boston area to create content. This ongoing assignment will start as soon as the right candidate is identified and will be about 15 hours per week will vary based on workload. Social Media Creator and Designer will support organic social media across a multi-hospital healthcare system in the Boston area. This role is ideal for a social-first creative partner
  • someone who can think visually, move quickly, and produce platform-native content that feels current, engaging, and human, while still operating within a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Social Media Creator and Designer will function as an extension of the internal social team, bringing strong creative execution skills alongside strategic thinking. The focus is on fast, high-quality organic content creation that increases engagement, builds community, and strengthens brand reputation across hospital social channels. The ideal candidate is someone who can blend creative instincts with strong execution, thinks visually first, understands how content performs inside social platforms, can quickly turn ideas into polished, on-brand content, and has insight for what will "stop the scroll."
Social Media Creator and Designer Responsibilities:
  • Create and publish platform-native organic social content
  • Produce short-form video and visual content quickly
  • Adapt the same core message across channels while tailoring format, pacing, and creative to each platform
  • Apply strong visual design fundamentals, including: Layout and composition, Typography, Visual hierarchy, and Consistent brand application
  • Edit short-form video with an understanding of pacing, trends, and platform norms
  • Stay aware of social trends and formats, and know how to adapt them appropriately for healthcare
  • Demonstrate copy awareness and understand how messaging lands differently by channel
  • Act as a creative thought partner to the internal social team, contributing ideas and recommendations
  • Support an integrated content strategy that maintains consistent messaging while allowing for channel-level customization
  • Help diversify content mix and bring a fresh, engaging perspective to patient-facing content
  • Support follower growth and engagement for community hospital accounts
  • Help foster a sense of community by encouraging comments, reshares, and conversation
  • Collaborate closely with internal social, creative, and marketing partners
  • Support organic social efforts, with light coordination around paid social for events or campaigns (paid execution handled separately)
  • Balance creativity with brand reputation, compliance, and trust
Social Media Creator and Designer Requirements:
  • Proven experience creating organic, social-first content
  • Strong visual design fundamentals and video editing skills
  • Comfortable producing fast, platform-native creative content
  • Experience working within healthcare or other highly regulated industries is preferred
  • Familiarity with CapCut, Adobe Express, and Sprout Social (or similar tools)
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort acting as an extension of an in-house team In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
