Weare looking for a UX Content Strategist to join our team in Austin, TX, and report to the UX Strategy Team Manager. This role involves collaborating with other team members such as account, project managers, art directors, copywriters, and developers to craft user-friendly content across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content strategy, a deep understanding of UX principles, and a passion for creating content that enhances user engagement and satisfaction Key Responsibilities Lead content strategy for web and product experiences, aligning content goals with user needs and business objectives.
Design and produce user-centered content, including microcopy, long-form content, and structured content models for headless and traditional CMS platforms.
Develop and maintain information architecture, metadata schemas, taxonomies, and content models to improve findability and reuse.
Plan and execute content audits and content migration efforts, identifying gaps, redundancy, and opportunities for consolidation and optimization.
Define content governance, workflows, and style guides (voice & tone, plain language) and advocate for adoption across teams.
Conduct UX research activitiesusability testing, user interviews, personas, and journey mappingto validate content decisions and prioritize work.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to integrate content into design systems and component libraries.
Create and maintain content performance metrics, monitor analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel), run A/B tests (Optimizely or similar), and iterate content based on data.
Ensure content meets accessibility standards (WCAG) and supports localization/internationalization.
Author and review
HTML/CSS
where needed for prototypes and content templates; collaborate with developers on implementation. Use tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, JIRA, and Confluence to document work, hand off assets, and track projects. Qualifications 10+ years of digital content strategy experience. Must have had the title content strategist or UX strategist in a previous role. Demonstrated examples of leading projects involving content audits, email campaigns, competitive analysis, journey mapping, website redesigns, or other CS-related deliverables. Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Contentful) and headless CMS architectures. BS/BA in communications, content strategy, journalism, digital media, or related field. Strong SEO knowledge including keyword research and content optimization for discoverability. Experience with analytics and experimentation tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Optimizely or similar) and using data to guide content decisions. Practical knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience authoring accessible content. Proficient in writing microcopy, establishing voice & tone, style guides, and contributing to design systems. Familiarity with front-end basics (HTML, CSS) and content migration processes. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills; experience advocating for content-centric approaches. Experience with localization/internationalization best practices and content governance frameworks is preferred. In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
