JOB SUMMARY
The Director of eCommerce is a senior client-facing and people leader responsible for driving measurable eCommerce growth for clients of 5G and our customers (Walmart, Sam's Club and Amazon). This leader oversees strategy, team performance, digital advertising execution, content excellence, and platform operations, serving as the primary strategic partner between 5G's internal teams and client stakeholders. The Director sets the vision for how the company delivers best-in-class eCommerce services and aligns cross functional resources to meet business objectives, and cultivates a high-performance team culture grounded in data, accountability, and growth. This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act(FLSA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Strategy & Account Leadership Serve as the senior strategic partner for assigned brand clients, building trusted, long-term relationships and owning client satisfaction, retention, and growth. Develop and present customized, data-driven eCommerce strategies tailored to each client's goals across Walmart.com, Sam's Club, and Amazon, including annual account plans, growth roadmaps, and QBR presentations. Lead cross-platform business reviews, translating performance data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that demonstrate clear return on investment. Proactively identify new revenue opportunities within existing client accounts, including expanded SKU assortments, new advertising products, and omnichannel initiatives. Support new business development efforts by contributing to pitches, proposals, and capability presentations, bringing subject matter expertise on Walmart, Sam's Club, and Amazon ecosystems. Marketplace Platform Operations Oversee the end-to-end management of client accounts across Retail Link, Walmart Seller Center, Sam's Club Member Access Platform (MAP), and Amazon Vendor Central/Seller Central, ensuring operational excellence and compliance. Direct the use of retail intelligence and analytics platforms such as Scintilla and third-party tools (e.g., Helium 10, Perpetua, Profitero, CommerceIQ, Stackline) to monitor share of shelf, pricing health, and competitive positioning. Oversee inventory planning and forecasting coordination with client supply chain and replenishment teams to minimize out-of-stocks and maximize in-stock rates on key items. Ensure pricing integrity and MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) compliance across all active platforms and channels. Manage retailer relationship touchpoints, including merchant meetings, new item setup, and promotional planning submissions. Drive new methods of selling through ever-evolving eCommerce holiday events. Navigate the constantly changing Walmart, Sam's Club, and Amazon holiday event calendars to cater to the client's strengths while also appealing to merchants' desire to expand digital shelf investment and presence. Content & Digital Shelf Excellence Champion a best-in-class digital shelf strategy, including optimized product titles, bullet points, descriptions, A+ content (Amazon) and Rich Media/Enhanced Content (Walmart/Sam's Club), and keyword-driven SEO. Oversee content audits and scorecards to ensure all client PDPs (product detail pages) meet platform content standards and drive conversion. Partner with creative and content teams to develop compelling visual assets, lifestyle imagery, and video content that align with brand guidelines and retailer specifications. Lead catalog management initiatives, including new item setup, variation creation, parent-child architecture, and ongoing content refreshes driven by performance data. Monitor and respond to content suppression, buybox loss, and listing issues with urgency, maintaining platform health scores. Digital Advertising & Media Strategy Direct the development and execution of paid media strategies across Walmart Connect, Sam's Club Member Access (MAP advertising), and Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP/AMC). Set advertising investment budgets and performance targets, monitoring

customer rates, and share of voice against agreed-upon KPIs. Oversee campaign architecture, keyword strategy, bid management, and audience targeting in partnership with the managed services / paid media team. Evaluate and recommend emerging advertising products and beta opportunities from Walmart, Sam's Club, and Amazon to keep clients at the leading edge. Deliver regular media performance reports and strategic recaps, clearly communicating results and pivots to client stakeholders. Analytics, Reporting & Business Intelligence Build and maintain a robust reporting framework, including weekly/monthly performance dashboards that track sales velocity, conversion rate, advertising efficiency, content health, and share of market. Leverage retailer data ecosystems— including Walmart Luminate, Retail Link, Sam's Club Member Access analytics, and Amazon Brand Analytics / Vendor Central reports to generate actionable insights. Own annual and quarterly budgeting for the eCommerce department, including client media budgets, headcount planning, and technology investments. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the client portfolio and communicate findings clearly to internal leadership and client executives. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing eCommerce team, including account managers, content specialists, advertising analysts, and operations coordinators. Define team structure, individual roles, and performance expectations, conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations. Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, continuous learning, and accountability across the eCommerce team. Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and workflows that drive efficiency and consistency across all client accounts. Serve as an escalation point for client issues, coaching team members on problem resolution and proactive client communication. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with Sales, Creative, Technology, and Operations leadership to ensure eCommerce strategies are fully integrated with overall company capabilities and client service delivery. Partner with the Director of Sales and senior leadership to align eCommerce initiatives with broader company growth objectives and go-to-market priorities. Contribute meaningfully to company-wide meetings, planning sessions, and leadership forums, representing the eCommerce function and its impact on overall business performance. Stay current on platform algorithm changes, policy updates, and marketplace innovations across Walmart, Sam's Club, and Amazon, proactively sharing knowledge with clients and internal teams. General Comply with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct consistent with business needs and company policy. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is expected to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client, employee, and business information.
EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE A
bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, eCommerce, Communications, or related fields is required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working in retail or CPG, including deep knowledge of eCommerce, with at least 3 years in a director-level or senior leadership role managing client accounts or a cross-functional eCommerce team. Demonstrated hands-on experience managing brand accounts on two or more of the following: Walmart.com (Vendor Central and/or Seller Center), Sam's Club MAP, and Amazon (Vendor Central and/or Seller Central). Proven track record of growing eCommerce sales and market share for consumer brands in a service agency, sales agency, or brand management environment. Experience working directly with Walmart and/or Sam's Club retail buyers, category managers, or merchant teams is strongly preferred. Familiarity with retail media platforms (Walmart Connect, Amazon DSP/AMC, Sam's Club MAP) and managing multi-million-dollar advertising budgets is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Platform & Technical Knowledge Deep knowledge of Walmart Vendor Central, Seller Center, and Retail Link / Walmart Luminate. Proficiency with Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, Brand Analytics, and Advertising Console. Familiarity with Sam's Club Member Access Platform (MAP) portal and operations. Working knowledge of eCommerce analytics and intelligence tools (e.g., Helium 10, Profitero, CommerceIQ, Stackline, DataHawk, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) is a plus. Understanding SEO principles as applied to marketplace product listings, including keyword research, content optimization, and search term indexing. Advertising & Media Expert-level understanding of sponsored advertising products across Amazon (SP, SB, SD), Walmart Connect, and Sam's Club MAP. Working knowledge of programmatic/DSP advertising (Amazon DSP, Walmart DSP) and audience based targeting strategies. Ability to interpret advertising metrics (ROAS, TACOS, ACOS, NTB%, Share of Voice) and translate them into strategic recommendations. Leadership & Client Management Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members with varying backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets. Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills, including QBR and C-suite client engagement. Skilled at managing complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships and navigating competing priorities. Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach and ability to adapt quickly in a fast

Analytical & Strategic Thinking Strong analytical and financial acumen—able to build business cases, interpret POS and syndicated data, and measure P&L impact of eCommerce decisions. Experience with retail math including margin analysis, sell-through rates, promotional ROI, and forecasting. Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear narratives and strategic recommendations for both internal teams and client stakeholders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS
The Director of eCommerce is responsible for directly managing and developing the eCommerce team, which may include eCommerce Account Managers, Content Specialists, Advertising Analysts, and Operations Coordinators. This role interacts daily with internal team members across all departments, client marketing and supply chain contacts, Walmart/Sam's Club merchant teams, and Amazon Vendor/Brand Management contacts.
