We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Shop Manager to oversee daily shop operations and help our team operate at a high level of quality and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who naturally notices inefficiencies, takes ownership, communicates clearly, and enjoys balancing people management with hands-on operational work. You will help coordinate production, prepare orders, organize workflows, and ensure our shop runs smoothly during both normal operations and busy seasons. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily shop operations Coordinate and organize employee tasks and production priorities Monitor workflow efficiency and optimize shop output Prepare and organize outgoing customer orders Maintain production schedules and help keep deadlines on track Ensure products meet Muir Way quality standards before shipping Identify bottlenecks and improve operational systems/processes Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace Assist with inventory organization and supply management Communicate clearly with ownership and team members regarding priorities and production status What We're Looking For Strong organizational and leadership skills Naturally detail-oriented with a sharp eye for quality Calm under pressure and capable of managing multiple priorities Strong problem-solving ability and operational thinking Able to lead employees while maintaining a positive work environment Self-motivated and dependable Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Experience managing teams, production shops, fulfillment operations, or manufacturing environments is preferred Ideal Candidate Traits You notice small problems before they become big ones You enjoy building systems and improving efficiency You can balance speed with quality control You take pride in keeping operations organized and running smoothly You lead by example and are willing to jump in where needed Compensation $42,000 per year plus bonuses to start Flexible schedule options available Opportunity for long-term growth with a growing company About Muir Way Muir Way creates premium map artwork inspired by national parks, mountains, and meaningful places.
