E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Specialist

Cale-Engineering is a family owned CNC machining and mold injection shop located in Colorado Springs. We are expanding our business and launching our brand new consumer product line: Hive Bins (Locally manufactured storage bins). The product tooling is finished, inventory is ready to ship, and we need an entrepreneurial digital marketer to build our online footprint and drive sales from day one. This is a highly flexible, part-time position perfect for an ambitious student, a marketing generalist, or a parent looking for a stable role with real growth potential. You will work directly with the owners in a casual, active manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone to grow with us. As you drive online sales and make this role highly profitable, we plan to scale your hours, responsibilities, and hourly compensation accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

Launch Hive Bins (80% of your time): Manage our Shopify storefront, list our products on Amazon (Merchant Fulfilled), and create low-cost, organic social media content (TikTok/Reels/Facbook/Instagram) highlighting our local manufacturing process to drive immediate online sales. Maintain Cale-Engineering (20% of your time): Update our WordPress website with fresh photos of our CNC machinery, optimize local SEO keywords, and update projects on the website.

Order Fulfillment:

Print shipping labels and package early online retail orders right here from our shop floor.

Assembly:

Latches and lids are put together as they come out of the machine before they are ready to package.

Required Skills & Qualifications Tech Savvy:

Basic experience navigating or managing Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, or WordPress websites (no coding required).

Content Basics:

Ability to take clean smartphone photos and edit short-form videos for social media.

Self Starter:

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision to meet goals.

Detail Oriented:

Organized enough to handle web data updates and manage physical product shipping. Must be reliably able to commute to our shop in Colorado Springs.

Position Structure & Performance Expectations:

Hive Bins is an active injection molding product line with inventory sitting on our shop floor ready to ship. Our Shopify website is already built, we just need a creative marketer to polish the final presentation and drive consistent traffic. To protect our initial start-up budget, this position features a clear, transparent performance horizon: Weeks 1-5 (Initial Launch): You will be guaranteed 15-20 hours per week at [$18.00-$22.00/hr] focused entirely on optimizing our existing Shopify pages, creating organic social media content, and driving our first consistent wave of online orders. Week 6 (Performance Review): Continued employment past the initial 5-weeks is conditional upon the digital storefront catching enough sales traction to cover the position's overhead.

The Long-Term Goal:

Once online order volumes stabilize and comfortably support the position, we will conduct a formal review to scale your hours and increase your guaranteed hourly baseline pay as we grow the company together.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
