POSITION SUMMARY

The E-Commerce & Resale Specialist supports resale, e-commerce, and marketing operations by generating and sustaining revenue streams that increase per-unit income. This role expands the reach of high-value merchandise through online platforms and local resale opportunities, allowing the organization to maximize demand, strengthen brand visibility, and optimize pricing. Responsibilities include researching, listing, selling, packaging, tracking, and coordinating the movement of specialty merchandise from stores and warehouses into e-commerce channels while helping transition auction-based efforts to higher-reach resale platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Local Business Resale & Vendor Coordination Transport specialty items to local businesses for resale, maximizing revenue opportunities. Coordinate resale opportunities for items, including jewelry, watches, vintage toys, collectibles, purses, wallets, fashion accessories, instruments, sports cards and memorabilia, comic books, antiques, and other specialty items. Build positive relationships with local businesses and resale partners. Represent The Mustard Seed professionally while promoting brand reputation and awareness. E-Commerce Operations Operate and optimize the organization's e-commerce resale accounts, including eBay, Depop, Mercari, Poshmark, ThriftBooks, and additional platforms as needed. Identify, research, evaluate, photograph, list, and sell high-value items. Create and update online listings with competitive pricing, accurate descriptions, and keyword-rich product titles that support SEO performance. Conduct market research to determine accurate valuation and pricing, especially for vintage, designer, collectible, jewelry, watch, and specialty categories. Package and ship sold items in a timely and professional manner. Build and manage spreadsheets to track inventory, sales, item movement, and resale activity. Create and follow a weekly schedule for shipping, photography, outsourced resale efforts, spreadsheet updates, and other e-commerce tasks. Meet shipping deadlines and maintain consistent weekly e-commerce activity. Move resale products between store locations, the warehouse, and the e-commerce room to ensure consistent inventory flow. Educate & provide feedback to donation classifiers related to e-commerce preferences. Assist in identifying high-value items within stores and warehouse areas. Help increase overall revenue per unit by directing specialty items to the best resale channel. Maintain organized e-commerce inventory and product tracking systems. Authenticate & test merchandise before listing.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to determine competitive pricing based on market research. Knowledge of or willingness to learn authentication and valuation techniques for purses, jewelry, watches, collectibles, and specialty items. Ability to create keyword-rich product titles and descriptions. Ability to meet deadlines and handle information with integrity. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Adaptable and able to resolve challenges calmly Valid driver's license required.

Must be available to communicate during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, and assist with e-commerce operations as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift and move items regularly. Must be able to package items and move packaged products. Must be able to sit for extended periods while completing computer-based tasks. Must be able to sit in a vehicle while transporting inventory. Must be able to move products between stores, warehouse areas, and e-commerce workspaces.
