The job:
As our Operations Support Assistant , you will provide day-to-day coordination and support to help keep Engineering, Production, Inventory, and Supply Chain activities moving efficiently. You will prepare weekly and monthly status reports, track production releases, monitor shipped orders and cancellations, and maintain updates used in team production meetings. You will also support data entry, reporting, and monitoring of key operational metrics, including quality, production efficiency, and utilization. This includes helping identify opportunities for improvement within operations and supporting plans to address those opportunities. As part of the production release process, you will generate design/build documentation packages and help coordinate material shortages with Supply Chain. You will also assist with expediting customer-supplied materials when needed to support project and production timelines. In addition, you will support sales order and project creation in the ERP system, help manage schedule dates, and provide scheduling or logistics support as needed. You may also assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities, including physical counts, variance resolution, and entry of inventory data into the ERP system. The skills, education, and experience you need: To succeed in this role, you must have: Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry, reporting, and documentation. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks at the same time. Experience working in ERP systems or similar business software. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and help support process improvements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams. A proactive, self-directed work style with a willingness to jump in and support the team where needed. Previous experience in operations support, production support, inventory, scheduling, customer service, or administrative coordination is preferred.
