Job Description

Job Summary:
The Ecommerce Operations Specialist will play a key role in optimizing daily operations for our ecommerce platform. This includes managing order processing, facilitating Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions, and ensuring that our ecommerce systems are running smoothly. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in EDI, order processing workflows, and troubleshooting to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
EDI Management:
Oversee and manage Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions with partners, ensuring smooth transmission of orders, invoices, and shipping notifications. Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transmission errors, including data mapping, file format, and communication issues. Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to maintain and improve systems.
Order Processing:
Monitor and manage daily order processing workflows to ensure timely fulfillment. Coordinate with the warehouse and shipping teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer orders. Ensure all orders are processed in compliance with company policies and customer expectations.
System Optimization:
Work with cross-functional teams to optimize ecommerce platforms, order management systems, and integration tools. Continuously monitor performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in the order fulfillment process.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports on order volume, shipping times, inventory levels, and customer returns to help improve operational efficiency. Analyze order processing data to identify trends and recommend solutions for improvement.
Customer Service Support:
Provide support to customer service teams on order-related inquiries, including shipping status, returns, and exchanges. Ensure customers receive timely updates regarding their orders and handle any escalated issues efficiently.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in ecommerce operations, order processing, or a similar role. Strong experience working with EDI systems (e.g., EDI mapping, data integration, and troubleshooting). Familiarity with order management systems (OMS) and ecommerce platforms (e.g., Ship Station, Magento, True Commerce). Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (advanced skills preferred). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, or a technical related field. Experience with
ERP & WMS
