About the Role We're looking for a curious, driven Market Research Analyst to join our growing team. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, storytelling, and strategic insight. You'll conduct research and analysis across technology and consumer product categories, translate complex data into clear narratives, and contribute directly to client-facing deliverables that influence real business decisions. Core Responsibilities Lead and execute market research across a dedicated industry, such as: consumer electronics, IT hardware, home appliances, outdoor power equipment, home improvement, and adjacent categories Develop analytical reports and strategic briefs on market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior Build clear, compelling data visualizations using internal platforms and third-party tools Present findings and actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders and, as experience warrants, directly to clients Take ownership of research workstreams — managing timelines, validating data quality, and surfacing key insights proactively Partner cross-functionally with product, sales, and client success teams to ensure research outputs drive real business value Stay ahead of industry developments and bring fresh perspective to ongoing and emerging research questions Professional Expectations Deliver consistently high-quality work and actively seek and apply feedback Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and a culture of intellectual curiosity Maintain a deep understanding of client needs and the broader business context behind each research engagement Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ownership in all interactions Engage with evolving AI-driven tools and methodologies as part of OpenBrand's continued innovation Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Market Research, or a related field 2-4 years of experience in market research, data analysis, competitive intelligence, or a related role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; comfort working with large datasets Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives Familiarity with research methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative) A natural instinct to question assumptions, test hypotheses, and dig deeper than the surface Preferred Skills Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon QuickSight Exposure to syndicated data sources, retail analytics platforms, or market research databases Experience presenting research findings to clients or senior stakeholders Background in consumer electronics, retail, or technology industries Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities Genuine enthusiasm for both quantitative rigor and qualitative storytelling Familiarity with AI-assisted research tools or a desire to develop that fluency
