Job Description
LJB Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer intern to support our Marketing team. This internship is modeled after our Client Experience Manager (CXM) role and is designed to provide hands-on exposure to sales operations, market research, CRM data management, and client support within a national engineering firm. The intern will work directly alongside marketing and sales to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The Marketing Client Experience Intern opportunity is a paid, full-time summer internship (10-12 weeks) in our Dayton, Ohio office. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
Pay:
$18+ an hourMARKETING CLIENT EXPERIENCE INTERN MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Research:
Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive dynamics in the engineering sectorGather and analyze data on client demographics, preferences, and behaviors to support sales strategyAssist in preparing reports, summaries, and presentations for the sales team and leadershipCollaborate with the marketing team to develop and organize sales collateralData Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze sales data to track performance metrics and identify patterns or opportunitiesSupport compilation of data for sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reportsGenerate insights and recommendations based on data to support sales in decision-makingIdentify cross-selling and growth opportunities across client accountsCRM & Sales Operations Support:
Maintain and update client and sales records in HubSpot CRMHelp stage client activities including scheduling next steps, logging activities, and drafting outreach emailsAssist in the preparation of sales documents such as proposals, quotes, and introductory materialsMonitor and help document leads generated by the Business Development teamClient Experience Support:
Support the sales team in delivering a seamless client experience from initial contact through project handoffCollect and summarize client feedback to surface improvement opportunities for sales and delivery teamsCoordinate and support execution of sales campaigns, events, and conference participation as neededMARKETING CLIENT EXPERIENCE INTERN ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related fieldStrong written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical mindset with comfort working in spreadsheets and data toolsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsSelf-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; CRM experience (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) a plus.
