The Addictions Outreach Team Member assists in development and implementation of outreach services for individuals with a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) diagnoses. This may include admission to a medical detox facility, working with clients to access a residential treatment facility or find a shelter bed and other services as directed by Recovery Support Services manager. Our efforts are conducted in homeless shelters, hospitals, jails, community agencies and walk-ins at NARA facilities for individuals who have SUD. Outreach works to enhances Native American individuals access to relevant services for holistic care to include prevention, and addictions treatment.What you will do:
Participate in team outreach assessments when appropriate. Develop an action plan for individuals identified by outreach team, including referral to other supports and resources. Outreach to community alcohol and drug treatment providers, individuals in hospitals, individuals involved in the correctional system or who are homeless. Regular outreach to area detox centers to facilitate access for individuals needing detoxification services. Provide culturally appropriate clinical consultation and advocacy to enhance care of Native American individuals in hospitals, jails, schools, public agencies and in the community. Promote Outreach activities and other agency services at community events such as a powwow, annual picnics, and tribal events. We would like to hear from people that have: Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) certificate through MHACBO required Either a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required. Minimum two years' (preferred) experience serving the serving the needs of adults with SUD Valid driver's license and a clean driving record with proof of auto insurance. Ability to maintain professional boundaries with community members, the community and staff Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests, criminal background, and DMV checks What's in it for you? 14Paid Holidays:
