Support Market Operations with:
Daily market reviews Repricing activities Monthly model upload validations Resolution of market study issues Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of market software changes. Respond to and resolve customer issues by conducting analysis, providing clear communication, and coordinating internal discussions as necessary. Support daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual market analysis processes. Develop and maintain recurring market reports to meet established deadlines. Provide analytical support and presentations to SPP working groups, committees, and task forces. Perform commercial modeling with a high standard of data integrity and support updates to commercial model software. Monitor and maintain accuracy for wind and solar forecasting tools. Provide analysis and review of Post Operations Processing System (POPS) results and ensure accurate data transfers to Settlements in alignment with SOC1 financial controls. Support updates to public data postings through the creation, modification, and review of database queries. Daily market reviews Repricing activities Monthly model upload validations Resolution of market study issues Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation To be successful as the Market Analyst II or I we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or other related degree Market Analyst I- no experience required Market Analyst II
- Two (2) years of job-related work experience Strong inter-personal and teamwork skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Understanding of and compliance with
SPP Policies and Procedures Preferred:
Advanced degree in related field Electricity industry experience Experience with software programming languagesPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of the workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.Travel Requirement:
