 Onsite Position Summary The Product Management Summer Hire applies their educational experience in a real world setting to support Product Managers in product lifecycle management and product portfolio analysis tasks. They assist the Product Managers with tactical activities related to product specification updates, price sheets, financial analysis, and other related support tasks. This role has a focus on researching and identifying issues related to the products and making process and reporting improvement recommendations to the Product Management team.
Measures of success:
Complete assigned projects on-time with high quality deliverables Successfully and accurately map internal process documents in Visio Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyzes market data and identifies industry and competitor trends and opportunities to help drive the company's product requirements, life cycle analysis, marketing investment, and product strategy Develops product-focused knowledge of market size, pricing, and competitive positioning/share and maintains competitor tracking information Aids team leaders with the product development process and with managing cross-functional development tasks Supports the product management team in the margin and financial contribution tracking for the products offered across distribution channels Works with the global sales team to identify market opportunities and support sales efforts Collaborates with the marketing team to create, enhance, or update product support materials and sales literature Supports the warranty return process, including customer outreach and responses on product evaluations Supports development of product PowerPoint presentations Responds to product inquiries from external and internal stakeholders, including sales representatives, wholesalers, and OEM business partners Conducts competitive research and analysis supporting business development efforts and generates analytical reports and data content to help position product strategies effectively in the marketplace
Qualifications Required:
Sophomore or Junior enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business or related field Adaptable to changes in priorities Ability to come up with new ideas for process improvement based on observation and analysis A team player with enthusiasm, positive outlook and professional demeanor who takes initiative and direction Solid organizational skills, strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships Excellent communication skills
Work Environment:
This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas. This position reports into the site every workday.
