We are a consumer products company with worldwide sales and distribution facilities, including manufacturing facilities in China, Indonesia, Japan and Mexico. Calico Brands, Inc. is seeking an entry level Marketing Assistant to join its fast-paced Marketing Department at its Corporate Headquarters in Ontario, CA. The ideal candidate will have a background working in customer service, handling daily administrative tasks and has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working in a marketing department. The ideal candidate should be highly detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently, motivated, positive, and creative. The marketing assistant reports directly to the Product Manager and works alongside the Marketing Coordinator. This position is essential in the day-to-day execution of marketing strategies across the company and will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing programs.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Creative Project Management
  • Customer Service - handles all customer service related calls for the company via phone, email and social media messages, adheres to company policies and procedures, provides excellent customer service experiences for every existing and potential customer;
  • Coordinates Production requests with the Creative Department for various projects;
  • Proofreads copy and proofs artwork for accuracy;
  • Assists with writing internal and external communications to be distributed to the Sales team;
  • Coordinates all National Tradeshows activities: registrations, implementation steps, preparation of tradeshow booth, show advertising, new product showcase and all other related marketing efforts
  • Maintain company website and social media marketing strategies
  • Assists with execution of social media campaigns; tracking and analyzing analytics, creating engaging content, keeping social media calendar up-to-date;
  • Other projects assigned .
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in marketing or AA degree in combination with 3-5 years relevant experience.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years' experience in related field. Customer Service, Administrative and/or Marketing experience preferred
  • Possess a strong interest in marketing
  • Self-starter who can take direction and work independently
  • Must have strong organizational skills and effective multitasking skills
  • Must have strong time management skills and be able to juggle multiple, competing priorities
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills
  • Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills; especially the ability to build relationships with people from diverse national and cultural backgrounds
  • Must have a strong interest in social media and be research savvy; strong computer skills; strong familiarity with networking sites.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with social media design platforms and marketing tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, Google Ads preferred but not required Working conditions Normal office environment.
