Job Description

Marketing Intern Sacramento, CA Marketing Description Program Overview 's 12-week internship program offers more than just hands-on experience: it's an immersive opportunity to learn, connect, and grow as part of a supportive team that is shaping the future of construction. You'll work side-by-side with industry professionals, receive direct mentorship from our leadership team, and participate in experiences that combine technical learning with professional development and fun. Our interns play a meaningful role on real projects across the K-12, higher education, and municipal market sectors, while building connections with peers and mentors that last well beyond the summer. This internship offers a unique, hands-on opportunity to experience the full scope of marketing within CEM and the AEC industry. The intern will gain exposure to all facets of a dynamic marketing department, including working alongside our conference leader, collaborating with the multimedia team, supporting proposal development, and engaging with graphic designers and photography efforts. They will also interact with business development professionals and explore how data analytics informs strategy and decision-making. This is a rare chance to see how an integrated marketing team operates within a company like , providing insight into how storytelling, branding, and client engagement come together to support project pursuits and company growth. In addition to marketing experience, the intern will participate in select job walks, offering a firsthand look at construction projects in the field and a deeper understanding of the industry we support. Annual Internship Academy:
A highlight of the program where interns from all regions come together for: Team building activities and competitions Professional headshots Career panel discussions with leaders Leadership luncheon Duties and Responsibilities Support day-to-day activities of a fully integrated marketing department within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry. Collaborate with the conference leader, multimedia team, and business development professionals on marketing initiatives, events, and content creation. Assist with proposal development and marketing materials by coordinating with graphic designers, photographers, and internal stakeholders. Contribute to storytelling, branding, and client engagement efforts that support project pursuits and company growth. Gain exposure to data analytics and learn how insights are used to inform marketing strategy and decision-making. Participate in select job walks to experience active construction projects firsthand and better understand the industry CEM supports. Requirements Education and Experience Pursuing a degree in marketing or communications or related field. Coursework or academic projects involving layout design, branding, visual communication, digital media, or marketing strategy preferred. Exposure to Adobe Creative Cloud tools through coursework, certifications, or hands on projects preferred. Licenses and Certifications A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, free from suspensions or restrictions is required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently inspects the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions, while wearing personal protective equipment. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions due to work activities occurring both inside and outside. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the position is moderately active and the employee is frequently standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The position may also be sitting for long periods of time. Travel Requirements These positions are project site based in the Sacramento office, and will require some frequent travel up to 25%. The starting hourly range for this role is currently $20.00-25.00/hour. The Company's salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
