Compensation:
$24-25/hour. Fully onsite - 35 hours per week A busy communications and marketing office is seeking a temporary full-time Communications & Marketing Assistant to provide operational, editorial, and logistical support during a leave coverage assignment from June through August. The temporary assistant will support a fast-paced communications and publications team with projects related to internal communications, publications distribution, photography and video coordination, editorial production, and newsletter support. Responsibilities Compile and distribute the weekly internal email newsletter Coordinate distribution of publications and communications materials across departments Organize and archive departmental materials in collaboration with library/archive partners Schedule photography and video shoots, coordinating with photographers, videographers, subjects, and internal partners Assist with organizing, tagging, and improving accessibility of the organization's photo database Track vendor communications and production schedules for a quarterly magazine publication Help monitor timelines and communicate upcoming deadlines to the editorial team Provide scheduling and logistical support for the relaunch of a bi-weekly e-newsletter Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Google Workspace required; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable receiving direction from multiple team members Previous experience in communications, publishing, nonprofit, higher education, or related environments preferred This temporary Communications & Marketing Assistant role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across publications, editorial operations, digital communications, and project coordination.
