Job Description
Description Overview The American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) is seeking a Summer Marketing Intern to support content, digital marketing, website, and event initiatives across the organization. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with direct involvement in SEO optimization, content publishing, event support, and marketing analysis. The intern will gain experience working within a mission-driven organization at the intersection of law, technology, and communications. The salary for this role is $25/hour and the successful candidate will live within a 125 mile radius of the downtown Manhattan headquarters. This internship will last between 10 - 12 weeks. Key Responsibilities Content & SEO Optimization (25%) Update blog content in the CMS, including SEO titles, meta descriptions, and keywords Add and format schema markup across blog pages Implement and QA Open Graph metadata for social sharing Blog & Website Content Management (20%) Format and publish blog posts and Mediation Magazine articles on the website Ensure consistency in layout, tagging, and internal linking Update existing web pages for accuracy, clarity, and performance Support ongoing website content improvements Social Media & Content Creation (15%) Draft and design social media posts to promote blogs, reports, and initiatives Assist in developing short-form content aligned with AAA voice and brand Support content distribution across LinkedIn and other platforms Event Marketing & Analysis (15%) Assist in developing and updating event collateral Support event fulfillment requests and maintain communications with internal clients regarding status General Marketing Support (25%) Assist with campaign execution, email content, and list management Support special reports and marketing analysis projects Provide support across marketing projects as needed Participate in team meetings and cross-functional initiatives Maintain communications across team and with internal clients, assisting in development of agendas and post-meeting recap communications Qualifications Current undergraduate or graduate student in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or related field Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail Familiarity with SEO fundamentals (metadata, keywords, content structure) preferred Interest in digital marketing, content strategy, and event marketing Comfortable working in a CMS and learning new tools Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in SEO, content publishing, event marketing, and digital operations Exposure to B2B and nonprofit marketing in a legal and technology-driven organization Experience working with real-world content, campaigns, events, and website systems Mentorship from a cross-functional marketing team The American Arbitration Association is an equal opportunity employer (EEO) and considers all employees and applicants for positions without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
