We're looking for a dependable, energetic team member who is interested in marketing, events, and community engagement and wants hands-on experience helping grow a local business. Position Overview The Marketing & Events Assistant will work directly with ownership to help execute marketing initiatives, support events, capture content, and represent the brand both in the restaurant and throughout the community. This role is ideal for someone interested in building hands-on experience in marketing, events, and small business operations. This person enjoys being around people, attending events, creating content, and helping bring ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Events & Community Engagement Assist with planning and execution of in-restaurant events Support off-site presence at festivals, fairs, networking, catering, and community events. Help with event setup, breakdown, and logistics Assist with booth presentation, signage, promotional materials, and brand activation Capture photos and videos during events for future marketing use Support guest engagement and overall event experience Content Creation & Social Media Capture content in the restaurant, including: Food and beverages Customer experiences Behind-the-scenes moments Team and culture content Create and post stories and social media content Support content collection for campaigns, promotions, and seasonal initiatives Help maintain a consistent brand presence across platforms Marketing Support Assist with preparing email newsletters and promotional communications Help create flyers, signage, and simple marketing materials using Canva or similar tools Assist with printing and preparation of marketing materials Assist with other marketing projects as assigned What We're Looking For Interest in marketing, communications, events, hospitality, or business Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Reliable and dependable Comfortable interacting with customers and community members Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed Comfortable taking photos and videos Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments Preferred Qualifications Experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Canva Experience with Marketing Event planning or event support experience Restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience Familiarity with Caribbean culture, food, and music Interest in growing a career in marketing, communications, events, or business Why Join Us?
