Collaboration Transparency Accessibility Summary:
The Marketing Manager oversees the day-to-day marketing operations of the Museum, ensuring consistent, engaging, and strategic communication across all channels. This role supports Museum initiatives, programs, events, membership efforts, visitor engagement, and development. The Marketing Manager supervises the Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator and Graphic Designer while working closely with the Director of Communications to develop and execute comprehensive, multichannel marketing strategies aligned with the Museum's mission of play-based, experiential learning.
Primary Responsibilities and Results:
Develop and implement overall marketing strategies for Museum initiatives, programs, events, and membership. Coordinate and manage day-to-day marketing operations with an emphasis on timely, consistent messaging. Manage and Mentor Marketing staff by setting goals, providing feedback and supporting effective workflows, collaboration, and high quality marketing initiatives Ensure maintenance and updating of the website routinely Manage social media presence for Children's Museum Tucson and Children's Museum Oro Valley at Tohono Chul, coordinating content across teams as needed. Preparing creative briefs to ensure cohesive visual and written messaging across print, digital, video, radio, and social media platforms for events, programs and general marketing. Conceptualize and execute multichannel campaigns that support attendance, engagement, and visibility goals. Maintain relationships with media outlets and promotional partners; identify and pursue press and media opportunities. Draft and distribute media releases. Oversee design and production of printed and digital materials—including flyers, banners, event signage, and digital display boards. Build and maintain cross-promotional partnerships with community organizations. Manage marketing budget and provide recommendations based on campaign performance. Work collaboratively with Museum staff across all departments. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience required. 1-2 years of supervisory experience required
Language Skills:
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills required Spanish-language preferred
Computer Skills:
Microsoft and Adobe Creative Suite proficient Familiarity with project management software (Monday.com) Familiarity with
WordPress Other Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong attention to detail, writing, and grammar Public-speaking comfort and community-facing communication skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Photography and/or videography skills preferred.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
