Role:
The Sr. Manager, Marketing will lead the development and execution of HCP marketing strategies to support Neurocrine's growth objectives in CAH. This role focuses on engaging CAH centers of excellence, adrenal specialists, high-volume endocrinologists, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) through insights-driven, brand-aligned initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing disease state education and promotional materials, enabling the sales force, managing KOL relationships, and leading brand presence at major conferences and congresses. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of strategy and tactics, working closely with Sales, Sales Training, Market Research, Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, Managed Markets, and agency partners. This individual will drive the creation of marketing programs targeting priority HCP segments, including COEs and high-volume endocrinologists, while supporting broader brand-building efforts and growth initiatives in CAH. They will also lead scientific engagement activities, including peer-to-peer programs, and ensure alignment between marketing and sales through an effective omnichannel approach to HCP engagement. The ideal candidate brings experience in rare diseases, preferably in endocrinology, pediatrics, or genetic conditions, along with a strong background in HCP marketing and brand launches. They understand the importance of aligning HCP and patient strategies and have demonstrated success in digital and omnichannel campaigns, including microtargeting and next-best-action approaches. A collaborative leader, this individual fosters alignment, drives cross-functional engagement, and builds momentum behind the brand's mission. _ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): Contribute to the development and execution of brand strategy, including the Annual Brand Plan, HCP Engagement Plan, and budget allocation Partner cross-functionally (Sales, Market Insights, Regional Marketing, Medical Affairs, and others) to define HCP segmentation, align messaging and tactics, and support field tools, training, and execution Design and execute omnichannel HCP engagement strategies, using data and insights to measure performance and continuously optimize impact Lead scientific engagement efforts, including KOL strategy, speaker bureau, and peer-to-peer programs, while building strong relationships with key HCPs Oversee brand presence at national, regional, and local congresses and medical meetings; support field-led educational initiatives Develop clear, compelling HCP marketing content that translates complex scientific data; ensure consistency and compliance across channels Manage external agencies (creative, media, digital) and budgets to ensure timely, high-quality execution and accurate financial tracking Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient teams, Field, Global) to ensure alignment and flawless execution Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to inform strategy, guide decision-making, and identify growth opportunities Serve as a subject matter expert on the product, disease area, and treatment landscape Lead and prioritize multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives, driving execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment Exercise independent judgment in decision-making, with impact on resource allocation and business operations Influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and external partners Contribute to organizational effectiveness by mentoring others, fostering collaboration, and supporting key internal meetings and initiatives
Requirements:
BS/BA degree in marketing or life sciences and 8+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical product marketing, sales or pharmaceutical advertising agency. Experience in managing advertising Agency of Record activities. Experience in Endocrinology and/or rare diseases is a plus. OR MBA preferred and 6+ years of similar experience noted above OR PharmD or PhD and 4+ years of similar experience noted above Anticipates business and industry trends; recommends process, technical, and service improvements Recognized subject matter expert with deep domain expertise and broad knowledge of related areas; may represent the company externally Applies expertise to improve team efficiency and drive cross-functional impact Strong leadership and mentoring skills; able to lead multiple teams and develop junior members 3+ years of HCP marketing experience Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills; simplifies complex information for diverse audiences Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; uses market research and performance data to inform decisions Deep understanding of HCP promotion and field sales dynamics, including drivers of field adoption Ability to develop clear, differentiated, and compliant messaging with high clinical credibility Strong project management and operational execution skills; manages multiple workstreams, vendors, and deadlines effectively Experience managing agencies, budgets, and complex project plans with strong attention to detail Demonstrates cross-functional leadership and ability to influence without authority Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy, efficiency, and independence Builds strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders Demonstrates strategic thinking with the ability to see broader business implications and long-term organizational impact Drives alignment across cross-functional partners to support successful execution of business and brand objectives Adaptable and effective in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel #LI-MV1 Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program.
