GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a hands-on Marketing & PR Manager to lead the marketing and PR efforts for our game titles. This role combines strategic planning with direct execution of campaigns, media outreach, and marketing operations. Because our team is lean and dynamic, the ideal candidate must be self-directed, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in collaboration with developers, platform partners, and a Community Manager who handles influencer engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities (Priorities)
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution:
Develop and execute marketing campaigns across digital, social, and media channels for upcoming game releases. Define campaign goals, KPIs, and reporting metrics.
Media Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with gaming media and content creators. Pitch stories, coordinate interviews, and secure media coverage. Manage press lists and media databases.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with developers, platform partners, and the Community Manager to ensure cohesive campaign messaging and timely execution of marketing initiatives. Additional Responsibilities Oversee creation and distribution of marketing assets (trailers, screenshots, press kits). Track campaign performance, analyze results, and optimize strategies. Support gaming events, conventions, or digital showcases as needed. Assist with announcements or media activities for product launches.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in PR, marketing, or communications in gaming or entertainment. Proven ability to independently manage marketing campaigns. Experience working with gaming media and content creators. Strong understanding of video game marketing and gaming communities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience with marketing analytics and campaign reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience marketing JRPGs or Japanese games. Established gaming media contacts. Familiarity with console platforms (Sony, Nintendo, Steam).

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is typically performed either in an office environment with a moderate noise level or at your home. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to frequently sit and occasionally must stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include the ability to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen, measure, or identify using eyesight and adjust vision focus. Abilities to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups.
