Job Description
Overview Join our awesome team as a Weekend Farmers Market Manager. In this role, you will oversee the smooth operation of our weekend farmers market booths, ensuring an efficient and successful day at five markets in Denver and Colorado Springs. Schedule Your schedule for this position would be Friday through Sunday plus a few hours during the week.
Friday:
Prep and load for the weekend markets (this can be done Thursday or Friday)Saturday and Sunday:
Full 10-hour days starting around 5am working a market, coordinating other markets, filling in where needed.During the week:
Scheduling market staff for the following weekend. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee all aspects of weekend market operations, including prepping supplies and equipment the day before, ensuring every market team has what they need Manage scheduling to ensure efficient shift management, with adequate team coverage according to market needs Manage cash handling procedures, including sales reconciliation and financial reporting Ensure compliance for each farmers market rules Supervise and manage staff, including team briefings and training sessions to ensure everyone is aligned with operational standards and food safety protocols Personally attend each market on a rotation, or as needed basis to ensure SOP's and protocols are adhered to. Correct and re-train if needed. Prepare reports on event performance, attendance figures, and operational challenges for continuous improvement Work closely with the owners to adapt and adjust operations according to business needs Experience Proven leadership experience in managing events or hospitality settings such as nightclubs, restaurants, resorts, or similar environments Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on team coordination Strong background in events management, shift oversight, and guest services delivery Familiarity with cash handling procedures and report writing for operational documentation Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is highly desirable Experience in managing large crowds at festivals or markets is a plus Assistant manager experience or roles involving team supervision will be considered an asset Having a vehicle than can tow a small enclosed trailer is highly desired, but not required.
