Job Description
Gateway Commercial Finance is seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead the company's renewed marketing strategy and execution. This role is responsible for growing brand visibility, industry authority, lead generation and referral partnerships while reducing reliance on traditional paid search marketing. The ideal candidate understands that modern B2B marketing extends beyond SEO and paid search. He/she will develop, execute and track multi-channel marketing strategies across content marketing, AI search visibility, LinkedIn, Reddit, email marketing, referral partner development, public relations and industry thought leadership. This position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution . The Director of Growth Marketing will work directly with leadership to increase qualified lead volume, strengthen referral relationships, and position the Company as a leading authority in invoice factoring. Key Responsibilities Growth Strategy & Lead Generation Develop and execute the company's overall growth marketing strategy. Diversify lead generation sources beyond Google Ads and organic search. Identify and test new customer acquisition channels. Monitor and improve marketing KPIs including lead volume, lead quality, cost per lead, conversion rates and customer acquisition cost. Build marketing programs that support both direct customer acquisition and referral partner development. Track results. Content Marketing & Thought Leadership Develop, manage and execute a content calendar aligned with business objectives. Create and oversee blogs, articles, white papers, case studies, videos, and white paper industry reports. Position company executives as thought leaders through content, podcasts, interviews, webinars, and speaking opportunities. Coordinate content distribution across multiple channels. Digital Visibility & AI Search Improve visibility within AI-driven search platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Monitor industry trends impacting SEO, search behavior, and digital discovery. Collaborate with internal and external resources to improve website structure, content, and technical performance. Track citation, mention, and authority growth across AI and traditional search platforms. LinkedIn & Social Media Marketing Manage the company's LinkedIn strategy and executive visibility initiatives. Create and publish engaging content designed to educate, inform, and generate industry awareness. Grow audience engagement and brand recognition among target industries and referral sources. Monitor performance and continuously optimize content strategies. Email Marketing & Database Development Build and maintain targeted marketing databases. Develop and execute programed quarterly email marketing campaigns for customers, referral partners, and industry contacts. Cold/lost lead drip campaigns. Segment audiences and create personalized outreach strategies. Monitor campaign effectiveness and continuously improve performance. Referral Partner Development Support the development of referral channels including: Commercial Bankers Asset-Based Lenders Bankruptcy Attorneys Turnaround Consultants Investment Bankers Commercial Finance Brokers Create marketing materials, email campaigns, and programs designed to strengthen referral relationships. Assist leadership with strategic partnership initiatives. Analytics & Performance Reporting Measure and report on all marketing initiatives. Track ROI by each marketing channel. Daily analysis of lead quality and conversion metrics (source/specific campaign) Present bi-monthly marketing performance reports and recommendations. Utilize AI and analytics tools to improve decision-making, campaign performance and enhance production efficiencies. Utilization of applications to drill down on lead sources, campaign metrics. Qualifications Required Experience in a similar position with demonstratable successes. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. 15+ years of hands-on B2B marketing experience . Proven experience developing and executing multi-channel growth strategies. Strong understanding of content marketing, email marketing, SEO, paid search, and LinkedIn marketing. Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce. Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities . Independent initiative. Preferred Experience within finance, banking, fintech, insurance, private credit, or related financial services industries. Some familiarity with AI marketing tools and AI search optimization strategies. Experience managing outside agencies, consultants, and contractors. Knowledge of B2B lead generation and referral-based business development models. Success Metrics Within the first six months , this individual will be expected to: Increase referral-generated opportunities. Grow executive and company visibility on LinkedIn. Increase qualified lead volume from non-PPC sources. Creation of marketing database and email engagement (at scale). Improve AI search visibility and industry authority. Deliver measurable improvements in marketing ROI and pipeline generation. $162,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
