Job Description

Let's introduce ourselves This position is responsible for leading the retailers in market area to ensure that objectives and retailer targets are met for sales, aftersales, and customer satisfaction. The market manager is expected to be in Volvo retailers on a daily basis, with 1 home/regional office day per week. What you'll do
  • Achieve market targets and objectives for the following: retail and wholesale vehicle sales, market share targets, parts and accessory sales, CPO sales, customer satisfaction, and digital marketing targets and lead response. These are monthly, quarterly, and annual Targets. 
  • Collaborate and provide guidance to the retailer principal and retailer management to achieve Retailer and VCUSA combined objectives. Develop improvement plans as needed where shortfalls are noted.
  • Manage and prioritize activities to align wholesale, retail and aftersales objectives.
  • Monitor and address work to improve retailer customer satisfaction processes, and if needed, address and resolve cases of extreme customer dissatisfaction.
  • Act as point of contact for retailer staff for Volvo related questions. 
  • Manage market implementation of Volvo sales and marketing plans and programs, activities, standards, support, tools and product training. 
  • Provide market input on National/Regional programs. 
  • Monitor retailer and market team performance against annual business plan and objectives and take corrective action steps to improve performance.
  • Define Retailer improvement programs based on annual business plan and mystery shopsWhat you'll bring
  • Bachelor's Degree with broad knowledge of sales, marketing, distribution and business management acquired through a minimum of 7 years of experience. Retail automotive industry experience preferred. MBA a plus.
  • Strong product and incentive knowledge with a thorough understanding of automotive industry and retail process.
  • Strong leadership abilities (coaching, facilitation, developing others) - demonstrated success.
  • Results oriented - works towards goals, setting high standards for self and others.
  • Ability to analyze issues and data systematically and utilize this information to develop strategy.
  • Ability to communicate, both written and orally, on a professional level.
  • Customer oriented, outgoing, proactive, team-oriented and solutions-focused attitude.
  • Ability to utilize a PC to communicate, analyze data, track trends, and retrieve relevant information. Use of Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Travel requirement - 75% in-market travel Salary Range
  • $127,464 to $182,091Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, location and company guidelines
