In this newly created position, this person will be responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise-wide digital marketing and content strategy across a diverse portfolio of real estate and finance-focused entities. This role drives the vision, development, and optimization of digital content, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand standards. The Director leads a team of content professionals, collaborates with marketing and IT leaders across the enterprise, and champions innovation in digital storytelling, multichannel engagement, and data-driven content performance. This role is open to a hybrid format with the expectation of being in the office at least 3 times per week and will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and ethical conduct with company policies and in all content and digital marketing activities.
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and oversee the integrated digital and content strategy for Inland's entities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends. Lead and mentor a team of content creators and digital marketers within the "digital success" shared services vertical. Champion the use of the HubSpot marketing automation platform. Create reports, dashboards and other analytics within HubSpot to optimize content performance and lead generation. Foster strong partnerships with marketing leaders and other shared services verticals and provide strategic counsel on digital opportunities and challenges.
Content Development & Optimization:
Guide the creation of compelling, digital-first, audience-centric content for web, social, email, video, and other digital channels. Oversee editorial calendars, campaign planning, and content governance to ensure consistency and quality.
Digital Innovation & Multichannel Storytelling:
Support adoption of HubSpot across business entities and advocate for emerging digital tools and best practices in interactive media production. Partner with business marketing strategists to ensure the development of content-rich landing pages, social media assets, and multimedia collateral that elevate brand engagement.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervise current content and digital marketing staff within the marketing department's shared services vertical Management of external agencies and vendors as needed
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related discipline (Master's preferred) 8+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Experience in real estate or financial services preferred

Leader with proven skills to drive digital engagement and content excellence Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills Advanced proficiency in marketing automation (HubSpot), analytics, and creative software (Adobe Creative Suite) Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret performance metrics to optimize strategy Collaborative, innovative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Annual Base Salary Range:
$125,000-$145,000. This position is eligible to participate in the company's annual discretionary bonus program.
