This position is responsible for building referral source relationships in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and senior-service related organizations within the community. To acquire the necessary and appropriate information to facilitate the admission of the resident to the facility from home, hospital, or other facility and to complete the documents necessary for the admission process. Incentive bonus structure included!
Requirements:
Prior demonstrated, successful experience in marketing a skilled nursing facility or facilities to local referral sources. To manage and maintain the systems and processes associated with patient/resident financial services. •Ability to meet admissions/marketing goals for census improvement/maintenance. •Perform other duties as assigned. To represent the facility to clients, hospitals, and community agencies, establishing a good rapport with the transferring institutions. Professional tact, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintain an accurate resident roster. Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility. Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources. Analyze referrals to ensure facility can meet resident's needs adequately. Facilitate a decision for admission approval and notification of admission approval timely to referring agency. Recruit and credential new physicians to the facility. Explain facility philosophy, policies and procedures to potential residents, new residents, and residents' representatives. Meet with members of community organizations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Long Term Care, preferably in admissions and/or marketing Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm. IND123
