For years, an agency produced most of our blog content, SEO pages, and supporting assets. Now we're building an AI-driven content system to own that work ourselves, and we need a sharp, motivated marketer to help run it. This is a content-first role with real room to grow. You'll spend most of your time producing and shipping content, then grow into the SEO and AEO work that powers our organic inbound engine, as well as the systems behind it. Plenty of people will tell you AI is making content marketers obsolete. We see it the other way around. The best marketers use AI to sharpen their craft, not replace the judgment behind it, and this role is your shot to help rebuild our marketing function around that belief. Whether you're an experienced marketer or earlier in your career with a high motor and a hunger to build, this is a rare chance to help stand up an AI-driven marketing function from the ground up, and to position yourself for where this craft is headed. You'd work directly with our VP of Marketing on a small, high-leverage team, and we're open to both in-person and remote applicants. Your Day-to-Day Own content strategy and planning. You pull together everything that fuels the content engine, search demand, competitive gaps, product and seasonal priorities, and what the data says is working, into a clear plan and editorial calendar. You decide what we make, who it's for, and when, then keep it all moving. Create and distribute the content. Landing pages, blog posts, glossary terms, case studies, thought leadership, and email marketing initiatives in HubSpot. You'll run our AI-assisted workflow from outline to draft to edit, with a human eye on quality and brand voice, and handle our Hootsuite posting and website posting (WordPress). Maintain a strong SEO foundation. Keyword research, competitor and content-gap analysis, on-page and off-page optimization (including alt tags, image selection and creation, and meta for blog posts), and refreshes that protect and grow our rankings. Build for AI search (AEO). Help us get cited by LLMs with structured, reference-worthy content, and track our citations and competitive presence. Uplevel our organic social motion. Schedule and promote our best content across Facebook and LinkedIn on a steady, recurring cadence. You'll also help shape our Reddit strategy, a growing opportunity we're just starting to lean into. Monitor and report on performance. Data drives our decision-making, so you'll pull the numbers together and turn them into our next move with monthly reporting, projections, and suggestions for pivots when needed. Work across teams and tools. You'll partner with sales, operations, product, and our engineering team, and get hands-on across a wide stack, HubSpot, Intercom, Moz, GA4, Scrunch, WordPress, and more. Who You Are You adapt. Priorities shift and tools change, and you adjust without missing a beat. You stay flexible and curious, and you're glad to work through the unknowns together. We don't have it all figured out yet, and that's part of the fun. You bring the motor. You're driven and hungry, and you want to define and own this role, not just fill it. You go create and find the work instead of waiting for it. You're organized and process-minded. You sweat the details, the typo, the broken link, the sentence that sounds off, and you build simple, repeatable processes that keep a lot of moving pieces on track. You have a sharp editorial mind and are a strong reader, meaning you know good content from bad and how to improve it. You deliver. You write well and fast, and you'd rather move and improve than wait for perfection. Progress over polish, every time. You want to put AI to work. Nobody's truly fluent in something moving this fast. What matters is the drive to build with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini and use them to make the work faster, easier, and more scalable.
