Festival and Market Manager Historic New England - 4.9 Milton, MA Job Details Full-time $47,000 - $50,000 a year 14 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Microsoft Excel Customer service Driver's License Productivity software Full Job Description Historic New England seeks a dynamic individual with program or event management experience to serve as a full-time Festival and Market Manager. This position is responsible for managing Historic New England's large-scale festivals and markets, and for coordinating retail operations at thirteen museum shops. The right candidate will provide excellent customer service and meet or exceed approved annual budget goals while working within Historic New England's preservation philosophy and practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of three fine arts and crafts festivals and a weekly farmers market. Works closely with marketing staff to ensure effective promotion and outreach and with site staff to ensure that the festivals and market are integrated smoothly into site operations. Coordinates merchandise ordering and restocking, merchandise display, and inventory control for Historic New England museum shops. Coordinates all merchandise transfers, price changes, new item creation, and reporting. Serves as expert user for Tessitura CRM software. Runs monthly sales reports in Tessitura Analytics and coordinates year-end inventory reports for the financial audit. Works with site staff in developing and executing innovative new programs that serve Historic New England goals for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, and three years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of skilled credentials Strong communication and customer service skills Fully competent computer skills including skilled use of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheet functions, and the ability to learn and troubleshoot complicated retail or customer-based software Ability and willingness to work intensively during festival and market weekends, and other weekends throughout the year Experience implementing large-scale and complex programs or events Familiarity with team approach and multi-tasking New England region residency required by start of work Valid driver's license and means of transportation Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, excellence, and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) Preferred Qualifications Retail management experienceOther Duties:
