This role serves as the primary liaison between the agency and insurance carrier partners, developing competitive placement strategies, negotiating coverage and pricing, and helping producers and account managers deliver exceptional solutions to clients. The ideal candidate combines strong technical insurance knowledge with excellent communication, analytical, and relationship management skills. This individual will play a key role in supporting new business growth, retaining existing accounts, and strengthening carrier partnerships. Key Responsibilities Carrier Marketing & Placement Market new and renewal commercial accounts to insurance carrier partners. Analyze client exposures and identify appropriate markets and coverage solutions. Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage enhancements with carriers. Develop strategic marketing plans for complex and middle-market accounts. Maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and marketing representatives. New Business Support Collaborate with producers to develop winning placement strategies. Assist in preparing submissions and presenting coverage options. Participate in prospect meetings when appropriate. Support agency growth initiatives by identifying emerging markets and carrier opportunities. Renewal Management Review renewal accounts and evaluate marketing opportunities. Identify alternatives to improve coverage, pricing, or program structure. Work closely with account management teams to ensure timely renewal processing. Support strong client retention through proactive and thoughtful marketing efforts. For initial period of time, this role will be assigned a small book of Business to manage Carrier Relations Serve as a key point of contact for carrier partners. Attend carrier meetings, training sessions, and industry events. Monitor and communicate carrier appetite changes, underwriting trends, and market conditions. Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners, internal stakeholders, and key business partners to support organizational goals and growth initiatives. Strategic & Operational Responsibilities Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience. Track marketing results and carrier performance. Assist with agency market management and carrier appointments. Maintain accurate documentation within agency management systems. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and commercial insurance products. Qualifications Required 5+ years of commercial insurance experience, preferably in marketing, underwriting, or account management. Strong knowledge of commercial property & casualty insurance products. Experience working directly with insurance carriers and underwriters. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Massachusetts Property & Casualty Insurance License or ability to obtain promptly. Preferred CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, or similar professional designation. Agency management system experience (Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar). Bachelor's degree in business, Risk Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package. Range $90,000 to $200,000.
Hybrid Schedule :
3 days in the Quincy Branch and 2 days remote.
