About Our Client Our client is a personalized fine jewelry brand. Every piece is designed, crafted, and shipped in-house by a team of skilled jewelers with decades of experience. Our client creates jewelry for life's most meaningful moments and is currently experiencing rapid growth. Role Overview The VP of E-Commerce will lead the digital revenue strategy, overseeing the website, retention programs, email and SMS marketing, and SEO. This is a senior leadership position requiring a balance of high-level strategy and hands-on execution to drive meaningful impact from day one. Working closely with the founding team, you will have direct visibility into production, demand planning, and overall growth strategy while managing the internal team and external agency partners.
What You'll Do Website Ownership:
Lead strategy and execution across the Shopify storefront, taking full responsibility for conversion rates, site performance, and the optimization roadmap.
Retention Strategy:
Manage the full retention program including email, SMS, and direct mail to build lifecycle journeys that deepen customer relationships and drive repeat purchases.
Partner Management:
Oversee agency relationships across digital channels, holding partners accountable to performance targets and determining when to bring functions in house.
Team Development:
Directly manage a small team and collaborate with the creative organization to set direction, provide mentorship, and raise execution standards.
AI Integration:
Identify and deploy automation and AI agents across marketing and e-commerce operations to create operational leverage.
Omnichannel Planning:
Develop the framework for a connected customer experience across digital and physical channels as the brand moves into retail.
Leadership Contribution:
Act as a core member of the leadership team, providing perspective on company-wide decisions beyond the e-commerce function. Who You Are Extensive experience in premium or luxury consumer markets where purchase decisions are emotionally driven and require building significant customer trust. A proven DTC operator who has successfully owned e-commerce revenue and understands the intricacies of retention, LTV, and lifecycle marketing. A leader and executor who can move seamlessly between high-level strategy and granular work without losing momentum. An accountable communicator who surfaces potential issues early, keeps teams aligned, and follows through on all commitments. Forward-thinking with AI, actively using these tools to build automations and create leverage in daily workflows. A builder mentality suited for fast-moving environments where the path forward is not always defined and the playbook is still being written. Willingness to be based in or travel regularly to the Warren, Rhode Island location to collaborate with the in-house production and creative teams. This role is ideal for a results-driven e-commerce leader who thrives in growth-stage environments and wants to own the digital evolution of a vertically integrated premium brand.
