VP, Product Management and Product Marketing Position Objective:
Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy driving product vision and aligning with company business objectives. Leads a talented team of product managers and marketers to create innovative solutions, enhance product offerings, and adapt to market trends. This role requires a forward-thinking leader committed to leveraging data-driven decision-making while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Position Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision:
Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with Clearfield's overall goals. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs, guiding product development and marketing efforts. Leadership and Team Development:
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of product managers and marketers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Build an inclusive team environment that attracts, retains, and develops top talent. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with design engineering, application engineering, sales, and customer support teams to ensure a holistic approach to product development and marketing. Work closely with the COO and CCO to align product initiatives with operational goals and commercial objectives. Product Lifecycle Management:
Manage product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Prioritize and manage the product backlog based on strategic goals, market demands, and customer feedback. Go-to-Market Strategy:
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, including positioning, messaging, and promotional activities. Create effective sales tools, training, and collateral to support the sales team and drive customer engagement. Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform product direction, messaging, and positioning. Use insights gained to guide product features and enhancements, ensuring they meet market demands. Performance Metrics and KPIs:
Define and track success metrics and KPIs for both product and marketing initiatives to measure performance and effectiveness. Utilize data analytics to drive continuous improvement and optimize product and marketing performance. Customer Engagement:
Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and ensure their needs are being met through both product offerings and marketing initiatives. Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through targeted marketing efforts and product enhancements. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is preferred. Ten+ years of experience in product management and/or product marketing, with at least five years in a leadership role. Experience in broadband or data center networking preferred but not required. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products and marketing strategies in a technology-driven environment. Strong understanding of product management and product marketing methodologies and best practices. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and working with diverse groups. Ability to deliver excellence in a matrix-based reporting structure. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
