We are have been serving the Eyecare Industry for 40 years as a provider of practice and promotional supplies (~5,000 skus) for the eyecare industry coast-to-coast. Amcon Labs was acquired by Nomax Inc. in 1985. Nomax Inc. started in 1982 with the vision of three friends to develop a better effervescent supplement. Today, Nomax is a leader in effervescent manufacturing, working with the world's largest pharmaceutical and nutritional supplement companies. Amcon Labs is a major manufacturer and distributor of optical and exam room supplies to the Eyecare Industry. SUMMARY The Brand and Marketing Director is an entrepreneurial leader, who will apply best-in-class brand and marketing principles to build the Nomax Consumer Business (a key company priority) and lead marketing efforts for the Amcon business (Industry leading provider of supplies for Eye Doctors and Optical retailers). This role encompasses business strategy, brand strategy, sales support, marketing planning and execution, and innovation to engage both healthcare providers and consumers. The Director will need to be flexible and scrappy, able to move seamlessly between high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution. This position will lead brand, marketing, and creative, with 2-3 direct reports and report directly to the CEO, while also working closely with the web development, operations, and sales teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Brand Management Lead the Nomax Consumer Business, developing business strategies that encapsulate brand, innovation, sales, and marketing to grow the business and deliver on financial objectives. Develop annual revenue projections and monitor business performance, adjusting forecasts and plans based on insights, competitive actions, and other internal (selling/operational/financial) considerations. Lead brand strategy for Effer-K®, Viva Dry Eye Care, and other new business initiatives, grounded in deep consumer and competitive understanding. This includes brand positioning, brand guides, and product messaging. Ensure consistency of brand expression across all selling, channel, and consumer touchpoints. Develop 1-3 year renovation/innovation roadmaps grounded in healthcare provider and consumer insights, product performance data, and marketplace understanding. Lead commercialization of new products, including revenue and inventory forecasts, packaging, product messaging, selling materials, and go-to-market planning. Manage relationships with 3 key wholesalers to understand sales trends and optimize product availability. Marketing Leadership Lead the marketing team in executing marketing efforts across both the Amcon and Nomax Consumer businesses. Includes leading the company's SEO efforts, website content, print and electronic marketing campaigns, PR, social, paid media and selling support, which could include selling materials, trade show materials, healthcare provider and patient information sheets. Lead marketing planning, including defining objectives and KPIs, managing the marketing budget, and working with the internal marketing group on tactical plans. Monitor marketing performance and work with the team on ongoing optimizations and results reporting. Work closely with the sales team to plan and execute selling strategies, including supporting sales training, sales material development, and key customer meetings. Day-to-Day Business Work closely with the broader team to manage the business ongoing, including execution of go-to-market plans and forecasting/operations/supply. Manage 2-3 direct reports, provide guidance and career development, while also building morale and collaboration across the broader team.
QUALIFICATIONS

Capacity to move between high-level strategy and hands-on execution Effective, clear communicator in oral and written format specifically proof reading and grammar skills. Ability to motivate, develop, coach, coordinate, and direct people. Willingness to lead, take charge, and provide suggestions and direction. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

5+ years related Marketing experience; large Consumer Packaged Goods company experience preferred.

2+ years of management experience.

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. We offer competitive compensation packages including salary commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position based at our office location.
