Events and Marketing Manager ABC-Carolinas Chapter Charlotte, NC Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Full Job Description Job Summary The Events & Operational Marketing Manager is a dynamic, multi-faceted role responsible for driving the execution of ABC Carolinas' major flagship events, ensuring chapter-wide data integrity, and serving as the primary hub for marketing operations. This individual will serve as the chapter's premier event strategist, guiding all regional event execution while managing the database (CRM) to maintain "clean and clear" information. Additionally, they will act as the traffic controller for all marketing initiatives, managing third-party creative vendors, enforcing brand standards, and ensuring all contract fulfillment is executed flawlessly. Key Responsibilities 1. Event Strategy & Management (Approx. 40%)
Flagship Event Execution:
Plan, execute, and manage all large-scale, chapter-wide flagship events from conception to completion (e.g., annual conferences, major summits, excellence awards).
Chapter-Wide Guidance:
Serve as the central advisor for all regional or micro-events, establishing standard operating procedures, timelines, and guiding other chapter staff to ensure execution consistency across the Carolinas.
Vendor & Venue Relations:
Negotiate venue contracts, manage master accounts, and handle on-site logistics to ensure high-quality delivery within budget. 2. CRM & Data Integrity - Specialist (Approx. 30%)
Database Management:
Oversee the daily input, management, and hygiene of the chapter's CRM system to ensure membership records and event data are pristine.
Reporting & Analytics:
Build, pull, and analyze custom reports for leadership to track event attendance patterns, demographic shifts, and membership engagement metrics.
Process Improvement:
Establish clean data-entry protocols for the chapter team to prevent duplicate or fragmented records, keeping system data reliable and clear. 3. Marketing Hub & Vendor Accountability (Approx. 30%)
Traffic Control:
Serve as the central clearinghouse for all internal chapter marketing requests, organizing needs into clear creative briefs for our third-party marketing agency.
Quality Control & Proofing:
Review all collateral, graphics, digital newsletters, and web updates provided by the third-party agency. Actively issue corrections and feedback to ensure total accuracy and brand alignment.
Vendor Accountability:
Monitor third-party contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to guarantee that external vendors and sponsors are fulfilling their promotional duties on time.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
5+ years of experience in high-level event planning and project management, preferably within a member association, non-profit, or the construction/building industry.
CRM Proficiency:
Proven experience working with CRM databases with a passion for data hygiene and reporting.
Vendor Management:
Strong background in managing external creative agencies, printers, or digital marketing teams, with a proven ability to enforce deadlines and quality standards.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable directing internal staff on event protocols and being assertive yet professional with external partners.
Attributes:
Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and capable of seamlessly pivoting from creative event design to analytical database troubleshooting.
