The Marketing Manager will need to have financial services experience to lead brand strategy, digital marketing, member engagement, and growth initiatives across multiple channels. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role will oversee integrated marketing campaigns, digital platforms, marketing technology, analytics, and day-to-day execution supporting organizational growth. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience within a financial institution environment (bank, credit union, fintech, or related financial services organization) and understand how to leverage marketing strategies to drive membership growth, product adoption, customer engagement, and business results. This position partners closely with executive leadership, creative teams, product teams, and business leaders to translate strategic objectives into measurable marketing programs. The Marketing Manager will use data-driven insights, customer segmentation, digital optimization, and performance analytics to strengthen the brand experience and maximize marketing effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Planning & Campaign Execution (30%) Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that support organizational growth, membership acquisition, product adoption, retention, and brand awareness. Create comprehensive marketing plans, campaign calendars, timelines, and execution strategies aligned with business objectives. Partner with the VP of Marketing and internal stakeholders to define campaign goals, audience strategies, messaging, required assets, and success metrics. Lead cross-functional campaign execution from strategy through delivery while ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and business goals are met. Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and continuously optimize programs to improve engagement and ROI. Creative Strategy & Brand Leadership (20%) Collaborate with the VP of Marketing, Creative Director, and business leaders to develop compelling marketing strategies, messaging, and customer experiences. Guide the development of marketing materials across traditional and digital channels while ensuring brand consistency. Manage marketing projects from concept through completion, balancing creativity, execution, and measurable outcomes. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality campaigns, creative assets, and marketing initiatives. Marketing Analytics, Research & Performance Insights (20%) Utilize customer data platforms (CDP), marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms to support targeted marketing strategies. Analyze customer/member insights, competitive trends, campaign results, and market data to identify opportunities for growth. Develop reporting dashboards and performance summaries that provide actionable recommendations. Use data to improve audience segmentation, personalization, conversion rates, and overall marketing effectiveness. Digital Marketing & Channel Optimization (20%) Lead strategy and execution across digital channels including website, email marketing, social media, digital advertising, content marketing, SMS, and online campaigns. Optimize digital experiences to improve customer/member engagement, acquisition, and retention. Oversee content planning, digital campaign execution, website improvements, and user experience initiatives. Stay current with digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the financial services industry. Budget & Performance Management (10%) Manage marketing budgets across traditional and digital channels, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Establish and monitor KPIs to measure campaign performance, engagement, growth, and ROI. Provide leadership with insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
8+ years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies. Minimum of 4 years of experience managing marketing teams within a financial institution, credit union, bank, fintech, or financial services organization . Experience driving measurable results through digital marketing, customer/member engagement, brand strategy, and marketing analytics. Strong understanding of financial products, member/customer journeys, compliance considerations, and regulated marketing environments. Experience managing campaigns across multiple channels including digital, email, web, social media, and paid media. Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. Education Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Preferred Skills Financial services or member-based organization experience strongly preferred. Experience with CRM, CDP, marketing automation, and analytics platforms. Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
