This position is responsible for driving dealership traffic, generating leads, increasing customer engagement, supporting department sales objectives, and strengthening the Harley-Davidson lifestyle experience within our market. The Marketing & Events Manager works closely with dealership leadership to develop and execute marketing initiatives, manage social media and events, drive customer engagement, and strengthen brand awareness. This position is responsible for overseeing dealership marketing, community partnerships, Harley-Davidson MAP compliance, and MDF fund management while ensuring all marketing efforts support dealership traffic, customer retention, and business growth. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Advertising Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing plans that support dealership sales, service, parts, apparel, finance, and event objectives. Create, manage, and evaluate advertising campaigns across digital, social media, email, website, and community channels. Monitor marketing budgets, campaign performance, and key metrics to maximize return on investment. Coordinate and execute Harley-Davidson Motor Company marketing initiatives, seasonal campaigns, product launches, riding programs, and promotional events at the dealership level. Integrate Harley-Davidson marketing campaigns into the dealership's marketing calendar while aligning them with local sales objectives and events. Collaborate with Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, and MotorClothes departments to create marketing campaigns that support department goals, drive customer traffic, and increase revenue opportunities. Work closely with dealership managers to ensure promotions, events, and marketing initiatives are effectively communicated across all customer touchpoints. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, bands, food trucks, charitable organizations, H.O.G. chapters, riding groups, and community partners to support dealership events and increase customer engagement. Analyze customer engagement, event attendance, lead generation, and marketing performance data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and recommend improvements to dealership marketing strategies. Ensure all marketing, advertising, social media content, event promotions, email campaigns, website content, and printed materials comply with Harley-Davidson Marketing & Advertising Policies (MAP) and brand standards. Maintain a thorough understanding of Harley-Davidson marketing requirements and ensure dealership marketing efforts remain aligned with Motor Company expectations. Manage all Harley-Davidson Marketing Development Fund (MDF) programs, including budgeting, documentation, approvals, reimbursement submissions, compliance requirements, and reporting. Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all MDF-eligible marketing activities and ensure all submissions are completed within required timelines. Partner with dealership leadership and Harley-Davidson representatives to maximize marketing effectiveness, leverage available MDF resources, and drive dealership traffic, customer engagement, and brand awareness. Social Media, Content Creation & Digital Marketing Own and manage all dealership social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Develop and maintain content calendars that align with dealership goals, promotions, events, seasonal opportunities, and Harley-Davidson initiatives. Create, capture, and publish engaging content including photos, videos, graphics, reels, stories, customer deliveries, employee spotlights, event coverage, and behind-the-scenes dealership activities. Produce and edit content using photography, videography, and content creation tools while maintaining Harley-Davidson brand standards. Develop and execute organic and paid social media campaigns designed to increase engagement, dealership traffic, event attendance, lead generation, and brand awareness. Collaborate with Sales, Service, Parts, MotorClothes, and Finance departments to create content that supports dealership objectives and promotional initiatives. Create compelling copy for social media, email marketing campaigns, website content, advertisements, and event promotions. Manage email marketing campaigns and customer communications. Maintain dealership website content, event listings, promotions, and inventory highlights. Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, reviews, and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Develop strategies that increase dealership traffic, event attendance, customer engagement, and lead generation through effective digital marketing and social media initiatives. Grow dealership followers, engagement, and community interaction across all digital platforms. Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, emerging technologies, and marketing best practices. Maintain a consistent social media presence during weekends, dealership events, major promotions, and Harley-Davidson marketing initiatives. Event Planning & Execution Plan, coordinate, and execute dealership events, bike nights, customer appreciation events, open houses, rides, charity events, vendor showcases, and special promotions. Create annual and monthly event calendars aligned with dealership objectives. Coordinate entertainment, vendors, food trucks, sponsorships, permits, staffing, setup, and teardown. Manage event budgets and resources effectively. Ensure events deliver a premium customer experience and drive measurable dealership traffic. Evaluate event performance and provide recommendations for future improvements. Maintain relationships with local vendors, charities, and community organizations. Leadership & Internal Support Work closely with dealership and department managers to support business objectives. Coordinate internal communications regarding promotions, events, and marketing initiatives. Assist departments with promotional materials and event support. Maintain accurate records, budgets, calendars, and reporting systems. Complete additional duties as assigned by management. Performance & Accountability Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards. Demonstrate initiative and continuously identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and dealership visibility. Maintain a consistent and engaging digital presence across all marketing channels that supports dealership traffic, lead generation, and event attendance. Be accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing and social media performance goals. Ensure Harley-Davidson Motor Company initiatives are executed on time, promoted effectively, and fully integrated into the dealership's marketing strategy and event calendar. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, events, and Harley-Davidson initiatives and recommend strategies for improvement. Maintain 100% compliance with Harley-Davidson Marketing & Advertising Policies (MAP) and ensure all marketing materials accurately represent the Harley-Davidson brand. Manage Harley-Davidson Marketing Development Funds (MDF), including budgeting, documentation, reimbursement submissions, compliance requirements, and reporting. Maximize available MDF opportunities while ensuring all eligible marketing activities are properly documented, submitted, and reimbursed according to Harley-Davidson requirements. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years experience in marketing, advertising, event management, or a related field required. Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, advertising, and content creation. Proven experience managing business Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts. Experience planning and executing successful events from concept to completion. Demonstrated ability to create engaging content that drives audience growth, customer engagement, and brand awareness. Strong photography, videography, copywriting, and content creation skills, including experience creating Reels, Stories, TikToks, and other short-form video content. Experience with Meta Business Suite, Facebook Ads Manager, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, or similar marketing platforms preferred. Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with dealership and department managers. Harley-Davidson, powersports, automotive, retail, or lifestyle marketing experience preferred. Knowledge of Harley-Davidson Marketing & Advertising Policies (MAP) and MDF programs is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred. Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and computer use. Ability to lift and move event materials, signage, displays, and promotional items up to 50 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors during dealership events and activities. Ability to remain active for extended periods during event setup, execution, and teardown. Schedule Requirements Full-time, salaried position. Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Must be available for evening events and dealership promotions. Flexible schedule required to support dealership marketing initiatives and special events. Additional hours may be required during major dealership events and peak riding season.
