The Opportunity Abbott Point of Care (APOC) is a global leader in rapid diagnostics that enable faster clinical decisions, improved patient flow, and better health system performance. As part of Abbott's priority to scale its installed base and accelerate adoption of high‑impact innovations, we are seeking a Senior Global Marketing Manager - Cardiac to lead the strategic and commercial success of the cardiac portfolio, including high‑priority NPIs. This role is a senior commercial leadership position, accountable for turning cardiac innovations into routine clinical practice and scaled, sustainable revenue worldwide. The Senior Global Marketing Manager owns the portfolio strategy, NPI roadmap, launch execution, and adoption acceleration, working cross‑functionally to ensure new cardiac products move rapidly from development → evaluation → protocol inclusion → sustained utilization. This role balances portfolio strategy with hands‑on commercial execution, ensuring Abbott's cardiac innovations translate into measurable clinical impact and financial results. This position reports to the Director, Global Strategic Marketing and serves as the primary global business owner for the cardiac franchise. Key responsibilities Portfolio Strategy & Market Leadership Own the global portfolio strategy for cardiac diagnostics, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, and investment priorities. Shape category direction by identifying unmet clinical, workflow, and economic needs across cardiac pathways. Translate Abbott's growth objectives into clear, executable priorities for regions and downstream teams. Act as the global business authority on the cardiac franchise, guiding decisions with direct revenue impact. NPI Development, Launch & Adoption Own end‑to‑end NPI commercialization for cardiac products—from development handoff through launch, adoption, and scale. Define and execute global launch strategies that accelerate evaluation, protocol adoption, and utilization. Establish and track adoption KPIs (e.g., time to first use, protocol inclusion, utilization expansion). Identify and remove adoption barriers (clinical confidence, workflow integration, economic justification). Value Proposition & Solution‑Based Commercial Strategy Define the global value proposition for the cardiac portfolio, integrating clinical evidence, health economics, and customer decision drivers. Ensure value narratives support solution‑based selling across cardiac pathways (ED, ICU, lab, enterprise). Partner with sales leadership to deliver commercial programs and tools that convert interest into revenue‑generating use. Continuously refine messaging based on field feedback and market performance. Evidence Strategy & Scientific Engagement Own the global evidence strategy for the cardiac portfolio, aligned to commercialization and differentiation needs. Partner with Clinical and Medical Affairs to prioritize data generation, publications, and conference activity that accelerate adoption. Ensure scientific dissemination supports guideline influence, protocol change, and customer confidence. Leverage evidence to support enterprise buying decisions and long‑term portfolio growth. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Team Enablement Lead cross‑functional execution across R D, Clinical, Sales, CX, Operations, and Regional Marketing. Serve as the portfolio business representative to R D, shaping development priorities and launch readiness. Cascade strategy into clear roles, milestones, and measurable outcomes across global teams. Innovation & Future Growth Own the cardiac innovation roadmap, ensuring alignment with long‑term clinical and business strategy. Anticipate emerging trends in cardiac diagnostics and guide investment and lifecycle decisions. Ensure Abbott continues to expand its leadership position through differentiated, scalable cardiac solutions.
