Job Description
Position Overview The Events & Referral Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving new business through strategic relationship-building and community engagement. This role focuses on developing and managing a strong network of referral partners, particularly medical providers and practitioners, while supporting the firm's presence through events and outreach initiatives. The position also plays a key role in strengthening the firm's online reputation by implementing and managing Google review generation strategies. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven professional with strong communication skills and the ability to translate in-person connections into measurable growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive referral marketing strategy to drive consistent, high-quality case referrals through professional relationships and community engagement. Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with medical providers, practitioners, and other key referral partners through regular outreach, meetings, and follow-ups. Plan, coordinate, and attend networking events, community events, and firm-hosted functions to expand the firm's referral network and brand presence. Identify and cultivate new referral opportunities with practitioners, healthcare organizations, and local business partners. Maintain consistent communication with referral partners to ensure strong engagement, satisfaction, and long-term relationship growth. Implement systems and processes to generate, monitor, and respond to Google reviews and other online reputation channels. Track and analyze referral sources, partner performance, and review generation metrics to optimize outreach strategies and ROI. Collaborate with the marketing team to align referral initiatives with broader campaigns, branding, and firm messaging. Coordinate with attorneys and staff to support relationship-building efforts and ensure a seamless experience for referral partners and their patients/clients. Represent the firm professionally in all external interactions, maintaining brand standards and reinforcing the firm's reputation in the community. Stay informed on industry trends, local market dynamics, and best practices in referral marketing and relationship management. Support additional marketing initiatives and firm events as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field 2+ years of experience in referral marketing, business development, account management, or relationship-driven roles Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with external partners or clients Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in face-to-face networking and outreach Experience planning, coordinating, or supporting events, networking functions, or community initiatives Ability to track performance metrics, manage outreach pipelines, and report on results Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyPreferred:
Experience working with medical providers, legal services, or professional services industries Familiarity with CRM systems or referral tracking tools Experience managing or generating online reviews (Google, etc.) or supporting reputation management efforts Background in local market outreach or community-based marketing initiativesWork Environment Hybrid Schedule:
Combination of remote and in-office work at the Buffalo, NY office.Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm. Evening or weekend work is required for campaigns or firm events. In these cases, employees may adjust their schedules to maintain flexibility and work-life balance."Pay:
