Job Description

Position Summary The Director of Admissions & Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive census growth while overseeing all aspects of the admissions process. This individual serves as the primary liaison between the facility and referral sources, including hospitals, physicians, case managers, assisted living communities, and other healthcare providers. The Director ensures a seamless admission process, maximizes occupancy, and promotes the facility's services throughout the community. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, assisted living communities, home health agencies, and other referral sources. Implement and execute marketing strategies to increase admissions and maintain target census. Conduct regular sales calls, networking events, and community outreach to promote facility services. Review referrals and clinical documentation to determine admission appropriateness in collaboration with the clinical team. Oversee the entire admissions process, including referral management, insurance verification, Medicare and Medicaid eligibility, authorizations, and admissions coordination. Conduct facility tours and admissions counseling with prospective residents and their families. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth transitions and timely admissions. Monitor referral trends, admissions metrics, conversion rates, and occupancy goals while providing regular reports to executive leadership. Develop relationships with managed care organizations and insurance case managers to increase referral opportunities. Coordinate marketing events, educational programs, and community presentations to enhance facility visibility. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility admission regulations and policies. Assist with budget planning, marketing expenditures, and departmental performance improvement initiatives. Work closely with the Administrator and Regional Leadership to achieve census, revenue, and strategic growth objectives. Qualifications & Experience 3-5+ years of experience in Admissions, Marketing, Business Development, or Clinical Liaison within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care setting. Proven success in increasing census and developing referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community partners. Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, commercial insurance, and authorization processes. Experience reviewing referrals and coordinating admissions for skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Knowledge of SNF operations, post-acute care services, and discharge planning. Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple referrals and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/reporting tools. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications Existing referral relationships within the local healthcare market. Experience working with Medicare Advantage and Managed Care plans. Clinical background (RN, LPN, Social Work, or Therapy) is a plus but not required. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed census and admissions goals.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
