We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and highly skilled Marketing Content Manager to lead the development of compelling, high-impact content that clearly communicates the firm's value, experience and differentiation in the marketplace. This role is ideal for a confident, professional communicator who thrives in a professional service environment and is passionate about developing persuasive, audience-focused marketing materials. The Marketing Content Manger serves as the primary content strategist and steward of the firm's messaging across all marketing and business development platforms. This role drives content vision ensuring consistency with brand and positioning and leads the creation of materials for business development opportunities. The Marketing Content Manager works closely with the Chief Business Development Officer, practice group leaders, partners and attorneys, the Business Development team, and the firm's PR consultant, to deliver polished and strategic materials.
Job Responsibilities :
Content Strategy and Leadership:
In collaboration with the Chief Business Development Office, lead the firm's marketing content strategy, ensuring content aligns with firm priorities, standards, and marketing position Advise attorneys and the BD team on messaging and content best practices Effectively utilize AI tools to enhance content quality and in conjunction with the firm's policy
Practice Group and Experience Content:
Direct the development and ongoing maintenance of practice group marketing materials, representative experience, and related materials Collaborate with Practice Group Leaders and lead partners to ensure website content is current and compelling Collect, organize and standardize representative matter descriptions for use on proposals and other marketing materials
Proposals, Pitches & Presentations:
Lead the firm's proposal and pitch process, including opportunity tracking, kickoff meetings, message strategy, and project management Develop original, customized content for RFP responses, pitch books, and presentations that clearly articulate the firm's strengths and client value Ensure all materials are strategically focused, visually compelling, error‑free, and compliant with client requirements Continuously introduce creative enhancements to elevate proposal and pitch materials
Editorial & Communications:
Edit attorney thought leadership (legal alerts and column submissions) Draft and maintain attorney biographies Collaborate with the BD team and PR consultant on the development of press releases and media summaries for the website
Rankings and Submissions:
Collaborate with BD managers on the firm's participation in various attorney recognition and ranking programs, including Chambers USA and local and industry ranking programs, by contributing to the attorney nomination strategy, drafting written submissions, coordinating nominations with attorneys, and managing submission timelines and calendars.
Advertising:
In collaboration with the BD Team and advertising agency/designer, develop advertising content strategy and messaging Organize filing and tracking system for advertising content In collaboration with the BD managers, develop advertising placements plans for key firm markets that align with business development opportunities and strategies
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in communications or marketing is preferred, and/or five or more years of writing / communications experience. Experience working in a law firm, professional service provider or as a professional writer preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to indicate the ability to perform the duties of the position Exceptional writing and editing skills, and demonstrated experience creating persuasive, client-focused content Ability to lead content initiatives and manage complex projects independently, while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff to meet deadlines Strong strategic judgement, attention to details, and organizational skills Experience in professional services, legal marketing, or a similarly complex, relationship‑driven environment preferred A proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and genuine passion for communicating value through meaningful content
