- Avangrid Job Summary The Manager, Market Design & Market Readiness is responsible for translating day‑ahead market rules, tariffs, and readiness requirements into actionable internal processes and participation frameworks.
This role ensures Avangrid is operationally and commercially prepared to participate in EDAM or Markets+ in a compliant, effective, and value‑driven manner. Key Responsibilities Interpret market tariffs, business practice manuals, and readiness requirements Translate market rules into: Internal day‑ahead bidding frameworks Market participation rules for generation and BA operations Own and maintain the EDAM or Markets+ implementation and readiness checklist Coordinate readiness testing, trial operations, and parallel operations Interface regularly with Legal, Regulatory, Transmission, Trading, and Operations Track market rule changes and ensure timely internal adoption Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or relevant experience in a related field 8-12 years of experience in power markets, market design, or market operations Direct experience interpreting wholesale market tariffs or implementation requirements Preferred Qualifications Market rules literacy and regulatory interpretation Program management and implementation planning Cross‑functional coordination Documentation and process design Comfort operating in ambiguous and evolving market environments #LI-Onsite #LI-VF1
