Job Description

What is Middle States' Purpose? We are here to inspire wise change in schools. Purpose of the Role You'd be the person making everything the outside world sees from Middle States. Social posts. Ad creative. Website updates. Case studies. Email campaigns. Brochures. You'd also run the operations side: launching ad campaigns, tracking what's working, and pulling the numbers that show where revenue is coming from. The work matters because the school leaders we talk to have heard every pitch. The job is to make something good enough that a tired school leader will pause and engage. General duties Marketing and communications Implement marketing strategies to hit our growth targets, partnering closely with the VP of Member Success. Publish across WordPress, Squarespace, email, and social media. Manage the technical integrations between our membership database and website. Run ad campaigns and report the metrics that tell us what's working. Help execute virtual and in-person events, webinars, and workshops. Keep our brand consistent across everything we publish. Other duties as assigned. Be ready for the unpredictable. Who thrives here You've spent 2+ years doing marketing, content, or creative work. Ideally on a small team. You can design. You're comfortable across various social platforms and email/web tools. You've run ad campaigns. You know how to target an audience, track success metrics, and pivot to achieve the goal. You're curious about innovative educational models. You like data. You can pull numbers, spot patterns, and build a simple dashboard. Habits of mind You're comfortable with ambiguity and change. You anticipate problems before they land on someone else's desk. You ask questions and challenge conventional wisdom in ways that make the team better. You've shipped things that flopped, and you can say why without flinching.
