Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy on a flexible, part-time basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned marketing professional who thrives across both creative and analytical disciplines — someone who can shape a brand's voice while also driving measurable growth through search, digital, and community channels. You will serve as an embedded partner to our leadership team, owning the marketing function end-to-end with a particular emphasis on brand copywriting and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Copywriting & Messaging ★ Core Emphasis Develop and steward a compelling brand voice, tone, and messaging framework across all customer touchpoints Write high-quality copy for websites, campaigns, landing pages, email, social, print, and presentations Create brand narratives, taglines, and positioning statements that differentiate us in the market Edit and maintain brand consistency across all team-produced content SEO & Local Search Own on-page and technical SEO strategy in partnership with the web team Manage and optimize Google Business Profile and local directory listings Conduct keyword research and build content plans that drive organic and local discovery Track rankings, traffic, and local search performance; report on KPIs monthly Website Design & Content Management Oversee website content strategy, user experience, and conversion optimization Collaborate with designers and developers on site updates, landing pages, and campaigns Write and edit all web copy; ensure pages are SEO-optimized and on-brand Manage CMS updates and coordinate with vendors as needed Social Media Content Develop platform-specific content strategies for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels Write captions, scripts, and creative briefs; coordinate photography and video assets Manage scheduling, community engagement, and growth initiatives Analyze performance metrics and iterate on content approach quarterly Email Marketing Plan and execute email campaigns including newsletters, promotions, drip sequences, and retention flows Write all email copy; design or direct layout within ESP (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or equivalent) Grow and segment subscriber lists; maintain list hygiene and compliance (CAN-SPAM/GDPR) Report on open rates, click-through rates, and conversion performance PR & Earned Media Outreach Identify media opportunities, editorial calendars, and story angles relevant to our brand Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, and contributed article proposals Build and maintain relationships with local and industry media contacts Coordinate interviews, media appearances, and respond to press inquiries Community & Event Facilitation Plan and execute community events, pop-ups, workshops, and partnership activations Develop pre- and post-event marketing campaigns to drive attendance and amplify impact Foster relationships with local organizations, partners, and community advocates Serve as a brand ambassador at events; represent company values in public-facing contexts Qualifications 5+ years of marketing experience, with demonstrated breadth across the disciplines listed above Exceptional writing skills — portfolio of brand copy, web content, or campaign work required Proven experience with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar) Familiarity with local SEO and Google Business Profile management Experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization Proficiency with email marketing platforms and basic HTML email editing Track record of securing media placements or managing PR efforts independently Experience planning and executing events in a community or brand context Strong project management skills; ability to prioritize and self-direct with minimal oversight Experience working as a fractional, contract, or agency marketer is a plus What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a confident generalist who leads with creative instinct and follows through with analytical rigor.
