Job Description

POOL-ology is not your average pool company. We build standout backyards, create genuinely useful content, and care a lot about doing things the right way. Our team moves fast, thinks creatively, and takes pride in delivering a great experience for customers and a strong, recognizable brand in the market. The Director of Marketing is responsible for the strategic and operational execution of marketing across POOL-ology and Hot Tubs of Central Texas. This includes brand strategy, creative direction, content production, CRM/email automation, paid media oversight, website management, print production, campaign execution, and team leadership. This role supports the marketing vision of the CMO and owns the execution — ensuring campaigns drive measurable revenue growth while maintaining high creative standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Leadership Execute a multi-channel marketing strategy for two brands, Hot Tubs of Central Texas and POOL-ology. Launch sales campaigns for two brands Build lead generation systems and tie in promotional initiatives Align marketing eff orts with sales team initiatives Lead campaign ideation, messaging, positioning, and rollout Coordinate with and hold marketing vendors accountable to the company initiatives Team Leadership & Workfl ow Systems Provide 1:1 performance reviews monthly for the marketing team Improve productivity and accountability Provide guidance to the team to follow social media algorithms and guidelines Create systems for content creation, tracking, and archiving Build systems to maximize team and vendor output Content & Creative Direction Lead content strategy across social platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) Generate high-volume content ideas and scripting Assist with and organize video and photography capture Oversee editing and publishing pipeline Preserve the integrity of brand voice and creative standards Ensure all content drives leads and sales Track performance metrics and optimize for engagement + leads Email Marketing & CRM (ActiveCampaign) Write and/or approve email campaigns Build, schedule, and oversee automation email fl ows inside the CRM Ideate and oversee the creation of lead magnets and nurturing sequences Manage segmentation and campaign targeting Improve conversion rates from lead → appointment → sale Troubleshoot CRM workfl ows and system ineff iciencies Website & Funnel Development Work with web developers to maintain and improve both websites Develop new landing pages for campaigns and promotions Oversee SEO agency execution and content delivery Ensure website messaging aligns with campaign goals Monitor functionality and user experience Paid Media Oversight Manage the Paid Media agency relationship Participate in ad strategy calls Review performance metrics and optimize campaigns Provide ad creative direction and assets Execute paid campaigns for promotions, lead magnets, and events Graphic Design & Production Oversee the creation of high-level campaign graphics (digital + print) Design or oversee the creation of: Social media graphics, email graphics, A-frames, banners, door hangers, business cards, sales materials, showroom signage, and event materials Coordinate print production and installation Maintain visual brand consistency across both companies Promotion & Event Execution Execute marketing for: sales events and seasonal promotions Develop giveaways and event lead capture forms Brand Growth & Industry Relationships Coordinate with business development for collaborative marketing initiatives Strengthen brand presence within the Central Texas market Saturday Showroom Rotation Cover the showroom on a rotating Saturday schedule (1x per quarter) Additional Expectations Perform other duties as assigned by the CMO or company owner Qualifications Show strong leadership: You have experience leading and managing a team. Be results-oriented. If you don't produce results, you're likely not a fit for our team. This means generating revenue for our business. Must be experienced in marketing. You're a student of Alex Hormozi, Amy Porterfield, Donald Miller, or any other qualified marketing expert. You can write persuasive sales copy. For example, you've read "Building a StoryBrand" or "Influence" at least once.
Marketing diversity:
You have worked in multi-channel marketing environments, including B2C social media, paid ads, and direct marketing. You have a strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn best practices
Adaptable:
Ability to pivot quickly to the direction of the CEO and CMO. If you think you know everything about sales and marketing, this isn't a good fit for you.
Organized:
This role will have to manage multiple vendors, campaigns, and staff. You must be organized, focused, and driven.
Get numbers:
Able to back up your marketing genius with real math and metrics week to week. You are laser-focused on the metrics that matter.
Tech-savvy:
AI tools (agentic and generative) don't scare you. You're proficient in online apps, CRMs, and tools required to run a business. Don't need the spotlight: Leadership is about making the team shine and owning the team's mistakes. This isn't a spotlight position. You are 100% behind our mission and vision. You are familiar with EOS. Prior experience in the pool, spa, outdoor living, or home service industry is a plus Able to start immediately This is an in-person, in-office position. Light remote work is possible with the CMO's approval.
