Position Summary The Downstream Marketing Manager is responsible for commercializing and maximizing the performance of assigned portfolio(s) and/or product(s) that are defined and approved of the market. This role translates upstream product strategy into clear positioning, messaging, and executable go to market plans that drive adoption, revenue growth, and market share. This role is both Market and Customer-centric, maintaining a strong understanding of current and emerging market trends, Customer needs, and competitive dynamics. In this role, you will partner cross functionally with Sales, Product Management and Marketing Communications, to ensure effective commercialization, positioning, and execution. This position is based in Mentor, Ohio with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. You will work onsite 3 days per week.
Domestic travel required, 30%. International travel required, 10-15%.
What You'll do as Marketing Manager Commercial & Portfolio/Product Execution (Primary Accountability) Lead downstream brand strategy and execution for assigned product(s) across the commercialization lifecycle
Translate upstream product intent into compelling value propositions, positioning, and core messaging by Customer segment
Responsible to ensure consistent brand expression across all commercial channels and field-facing assets/materials Go to Market Leadership Develop and execute integrated go to market plans for new product launches, line extensions, and portfolio initiatives
Lead commercial readiness activities including messaging frameworks, training, sales tools, launch plans, and deployment timing
Manage post launch execution, optimization, and performance tracking Voice of Customer (Commercial Focus) Interprets Voice of Customer insights to refine messaging, positioning, and selling strategies
Partner with Sales and Marketing Communications to validate resonance of messaging and value propositions
Provide key market insights back to upstream Product Management teams to inform future product requirements Sales Enablement & Commercial Support Serve as the primary marketing partner to Sales for assigned portfolio(s)
Collaborate with Sales Enablement to drive commercial success through clear messaging, value-based selling tools, and training programs
Develops content input for sales enablement materials including: Support priority Customer engagements, tradeshows, sales meetings, and commercial initiatives (CSC) as needed Competitive & Performance Management Monitor competitive landscape, claims, pricing strategies, and selling approaches
Analyze campaign effectiveness, adoption trends, and revenue performance
Adjust commercial tactics to maximize near and mid term business results Cross Functional Collaboration (Execution-Oriented) Partner with upstream Product Management to ensure timely and effective commercialization of pipeline products
Align with upstream Product Management on forecasting assumptions
Ensure downstream readiness for launches
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field 5 years of related brand and/or communications experience Ability to travel domestically and internationally Preferred Masters / MBA degree
Healthcare Industry/sector experience
Medical device product marketing experience preferred
Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred International business and marketing experience preferred Skills Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills involving individuals at different levels in an organization
Ability to effectively manage multiple, conflicting deadlines while delivering quality work on time
Proven experience in downstream or commercial marketing (medical device or healthcare industry preferred) Demonstrated ability to lead launches, campaigns, and portfolio execution in partnership with Sales
Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and communication skills
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

#LI-Hybrid Pay range for this opportunity is $107,525.00 - $139,150.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
