This role will support UPTWN Prime, Hot Tomato, Toasty, and two new restaurant concepts preparing to launch in the Myrtle Beach market. This is not a traditional marketing job. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants real responsibility, direct access to ownership, creative freedom, and the chance to grow quickly within a developing hospitality group. We are looking for someone polished enough to represent the restaurants professionally, but hungry enough to help build something from the ground up. The ideal candidate is part event salesperson, part marketer, part content creator, part community connector, and part hospitality professional. This person should be excited by restaurants, events, social media, food, beverage, local relationships, and the opportunity to grow into a leadership role. For the right candidate, this position has a clear path toward becoming Director of Marketing & Events . Position Overview The Marketing & Events Manager will focus on two major areas: event sales and marketing . On the event side, this person will help promote, sell, and coordinate private events, large parties, group dining, and special occasions across our restaurants. On the marketing side, this person will help manage social media, create content, support digital campaigns, develop grassroots marketing efforts, and help grow brand visibility throughout Myrtle Beach. This is a base pay plus commission position. The role is expected to include commission equal to approximately 2% of event sales , allowing the right person to grow their income through performance. Event Sales Responsibilities Assist with marketing and selling private events, large parties, group dining, and full restaurant buyouts. Help drive event sales for corporate dinners, birthdays, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, bachelor and bachelorette events, private dinners, and special celebrations. Communicate directly with guests and clients regarding event inquiries, availability, pricing, menus, deposits, timelines, and event details. Help create event packages, large party menus, group dining menus, holiday party offerings, and promotional materials. Work closely with restaurant managers to coordinate event needs, guest expectations, room setup, timing, menus, staffing, and execution. Follow up on leads and help convert inquiries into confirmed bookings. Build relationships with local businesses, hotels, residential communities, real estate groups, wedding planners, event planners, convention contacts, and community organizations. Support event calendars, confirmations, guest counts, internal communication, and post-event follow-up. Help identify new event opportunities and create seasonal promotions around holidays, corporate gatherings, and local market demand. Marketing Responsibilities Help manage social media accounts for multiple restaurant concepts. Create and schedule posts, stories, reels, captions, and promotional content. Assist with social media strategy, content calendars, campaign ideas, and brand storytelling. Capture photos and videos of food, drinks, events, staff, guests, specials, and restaurant experiences. Support digital marketing and grassroots marketing efforts. Help promote special events, seasonal menus, holiday packages, happy hours, private dining, new menu items, and restaurant launches. Assist with community outreach, local partnerships, hotel relationships, influencer visits, and neighborhood marketing. Help build relationships with local creators, businesses, concierges, planners, realtors, and VIP/community connectors. Support basic flyer creation, menu updates, event materials, email/text campaigns, and promotional assets. Help keep each restaurant's online presence active, professional, fresh, and engaging. Track event leads, marketing opportunities, guest engagement, campaign performance, and growth ideas. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Creative, energetic, polished, and ambitious. Comfortable speaking with guests, clients, managers, vendors, and ownership. Passionate about restaurants, hospitality, food, beverage, events, and local culture. Organized enough to manage multiple concepts, leads, posts, deadlines, and events. Confident communicating by phone, email, text, social media, and in person. Excited to be hands-on and learn the business from the ground up. Motivated by growth, commission, creative freedom, and career advancement. Interested in becoming a future leader within a growing hospitality group. This could be a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has strong taste, great energy, strong communication skills, and the desire to grow quickly. Canva, CapCut, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google Business, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
