Our MC values ensure we stay true to our mission and our core beliefs. MassChallenge is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Boston-based office. Position Summary The Marketing Manager plays a central role in executing campaigns, content, and communications that elevate MassChallenge programs, partnerships, and events. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role is the execution engine of MassChallenge's marketing operation. You are someone who takes pride in running a tight, well-organized production pipeline across multiple workstreams simultaneously. You'll work across email, web, social media, and event marketing to bring programs to life, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly, on time, and on brand. This role is ideal for someone who takes real pride in producing sharp, on-brand work across a high-volume content operation, and who's excited by the world of startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Curiosity about MC's Challenge Areas — Healthcare & Life Sciences, Global Financial Systems, Sustainable Food Systems, and Security & Resiliency — is a plus. Location This position is based in Boston, MA, with a hybrid schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays in-office). Some event support may require occasional evenings or travel. Relocation assistance is not available at this time. What You'll Do Collaboration & Project Management Partner closely with internal teams to gather inputs, content, and approvals. Manage project timelines and stakeholder communications to ensure clarity, accountability, and on-time delivery. Coordinate with internal staff and external contractors — including designers, videographers, event vendors, and A/V teams — to ensure high-quality execution and brand consistency. Maintain organized shared folders, calendars, documentation,timelinesand production files. Facilitate project check-ins and follow-ups to keep deliverables moving smoothly. Conduct final QA and proofreading of all marketing materials prior to publication or distribution. Campaign & Program Execution Execute integrated campaigns across email, web, andsocialto promote programs, partnerships, and events. Build and update assets in HubSpot and WordPress with precision and brand alignment. Manage deliverables from external design firms,prepare briefs,consolidatefeedback, and track deadlines. Create or adapt quick-turn materials in Canva (or similar tools). Event Marketing Support marketing deliverables for events andshowcases(emails, signage, registration pages, printed materials). Collaborate cross-functionallyto ensure event materials areaccurate,timely, and aligned with brand standards. Assiston-site with photography, video, and live coverage as needed. Analytics & Marketing Operations Track and summarize campaign, web, and social performance using HubSpot and Google Analytics. Maintain clean CRM data, tagging, and segmentation. EnsureUTMs, links, and asset naming conventions are standardized. Support content calendars and operational documentation to improve workflow efficiency. Use AI tools responsibly (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio) to enhance productivity and creativity. Content, Social, and Storytelling Collect and curate founder, partner, and expert stories for marketing and PR use. Support content scheduling, social media monitoring, and short-form video creation across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other channels. Repurpose founder interviews, event footage, webinars, and other long-form content into platform-specific video clips, social assets, and campaign content. Assistin coordinating press release distribution and tracking earned media.
Who You Are & What You Bring Education & Experience Requirements Required:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams independently, with minimal oversight, and hold yourself accountable to deadlines without being managed towardthem. At least 3 years of hands-on marketing experience (startup, accelerator, nonprofit, or agency experienceis aplus). Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a sharp eye for detail. Experience with HubSpot (email automation, forms, lists, workflows) and WordPress (or similar CMS). Proficiencyin Canva or equivalent tools for quick-turn creative work. Experience editing short-form video content (CapCut, Descript, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar) withdemonstratedability to repurpose compelling moments from interviews, events, webinars, podcasts, or other longer-form content. Working knowledge of Google Analytics and HubSpot reporting dashboards. Experience coordinating external vendors, creative partners, and event deliverables.
Preferred:
Familiarity with press release distribution and media monitoring tools. Interestinstartups, entrepreneurship, and emerging technology. Familiarity withMassChallenge'sChallenge Areas or adjacent sectors. Curiosity and comfort using generative AI to improve content and process quality.
