Today, more than 850 Senior Fellows stay connected through strategic events, courageous conversations, and community gatherings, applying their leadership to advance a thriving Silicon Valley. The Role We're looking for a Marketing Manager who is as comfortable writing a compelling newsletter as building a social media strategy. You'll own ALFSV's brand and communications across every channel—website, email, social, print, and events—and work closely with the CEO and leadership team. This role calls for strong writing, visual storytelling, and video creation skills, paired with the judgment to handle a network of high-profile leaders with discretion. What You'll Do Brand & Communications Lead and evolve ALFSV's brand—messaging, visual identity, and voice—across all channels Write and edit content for bimonthly e-newsletters, the annual report, event collateral, and more Manage the organization's blog, soliciting posts from across the network Digital & Social Media Oversee ALFSV's website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and reflective of organizational priorities; manage vendor or staff responsible for web development and maintenance-brand Run social media strategy and day-to-day execution—writing posts, creating short-form videos, and building audience Shoot, edit, and produce video content for social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) Manage the online member portal to strengthen Fellow engagement and communication Events & Print Design or oversee design of print materials: program guides, invitations, donor communications Partner with program staff to market ALFSV events and the Fellows Program Fundraising & Partnerships Align marketing efforts with the development team to support donor engagement and fundraising Develop outreach to attract prospective Fellows and supporters Manage PR contractors—writers, videographers, PR firms—delivering on time and on budget Analytics & Operations Track and report on marketing performance; use data to improve engagement across channels Manage the marketing budget with care Experience and requirements 7-10+ years in marketing or communications, with 3-5+ years in a senior role Strong writing skills—you can make complex ideas clear and compelling Hands-on experience creating and editing content for social media Proficiency with WordPress, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools Experience managing integrated marketing across digital, social, website, and print High integrity and discretion—you're comfortable working alongside senior community leaders Desirable qualifications Experience with a nonprofit, civic, or mission-driven organization Background supporting fundraising through marketing Familiarity with the Bay Area civic, philanthropic, or leadership development landscape Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, small-team environment Compensation & Culture $100,000-$120,000, full-time with comprehensive benefits including employer contributions for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
