Job Description

Marketing & Events Manager - Austin, TX Position Summary A high-growth MGU in the Austin, TX area is seeking a Marketing & Events Manager to build and lead its market-facing brand presence. This role will drive visibility across self-funded healthcare, medical stop-loss, captive solutions, and broker distribution channels. The position owns the development of branded sales collateral, multi-channel marketing campaigns, national conference strategy, and a proprietary event series. This individual will serve as a public-facing brand ambassador while directly contributing to pipeline growth and overall market positioning. Core Responsibilities Brand Development & Market Positioning
  • Lead and evolve the firm's brand identity across all channels
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality branding across presentations, website, social media, and marketing materials
  • Position the company as a leader in stop-loss, captive strategies, and alternative risk solutions
  • Support executive thought leadership and visibility in the market Sales Enablement & Revenue Support
  • Develop high-impact sales materials, including:
  • Broker pitch decks
  • Case studies
  • Product one-pagers
  • Conference collateral
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to support pipeline growth and deal conversion
  • Build targeted campaigns to drive lead generation and distribution expansion Digital Marketing & Demand Generation
  • Manage LinkedIn presence for the company and senior leadership
  • Execute email campaigns, nurturing sequences, and webinar funnels
  • Oversee website content, landing pages, SEO strategy, and inbound lead capture
  • Track and analyze campaign performance (engagement, conversions, ROI, etc.) Conferences, Sponsorships & Industry Presence
  • Identify and manage national sponsorship opportunities
  • Own annual conference strategy, including speaking engagements and booth presence
  • Coordinate logistics, travel, and branded materials
  • Represent the company at industry events and client-facing settings Proprietary Event Series
  • Lead end-to-end execution of a branded conference series
  • Manage venue sourcing, budgeting, sponsorship coordination, and registration strategy
  • Oversee agenda development, speaker management, and attendee experience
  • Deliver a premium, executive-level experience that drives partnerships and new business opportunities Executive & Sales Support
  • Prepare customized presentations for leadership meetings
  • Assist with prospect-facing and follow-up materials
  • Support board and investor presentations as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, growth marketing, or event/conference production
  • Strong design capabilities (PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe, etc.)
  • Experience managing conferences, summits, or sponsorship programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable interacting with executives and representing the firm externally
  • Willingness to travel nationally
Background Alignment:
The team is particularly interested in individuals who understand the employee benefits and healthcare distribution ecosystem and have experience marketing into or alongside brokers, advisors, and carrier relationships. This may include professionals coming from:
  • Employee benefits brokerages or consulting firms
  • Health insurance carriers or underwriting organizations
  • Third-party administrators (TPAs) or healthcare vendors
  • B2B marketing roles within healthcare or risk solutions firms
  • Roles with a strong focus on conference strategy, industry events, and relationship-driven marketing
